Awesemo’s FREE 2022 Top-300 For Underdog Fantasy Best Ball Rankings UPDATED DAILY

Alex Baker

Best Ball has a unique strategy to it, as you can’t rely on the replacement value from waivers for byes and injuries, and end-of-the-bench guys can contribute to your score with a big week while you wouldn’t know to start them in season-long. As a result, the rankings reflect increased value for players who contribute steady production that are less exciting picks.

Awesemo’s recommendation is to draft 2-3 QBs, 7-8 WRs, 4-5 RBs and 2-3 TEs, and to draft more players from the positions you’ve allocated less draft capital to. Our projected points added for each player reflect this basic roster construction. The upside column reflects the chance that each player could benefit or be hurt by personnel changes throughout the season (injuries to other players, QB changes, etc.).

The edge in drafting is getting players when they drop below their ranking. Our RDP is our recommended draft position for each player, so it can pay off to let these players drop before grabbing them.

PtsAdded: Avg projected points contributed to team projection over replacement level player according to our simulations.

Upside: Positive negative points to account for the possibility of changing team dynamics including injuries and qb changes working out in a player’s favor or to their detriment.

Awesemo’s 2022 Underdog Best Ball Rankings

Last Update: 1 week ago

Alex is better known to fantasy players by his handle "Awesemo" from seeing him in every big tournament in the industry. Playing poker professionally from 2009-2015, he heard that daily fantasy was the next big game picking up steam, and he quickly saw the potential of the relatively new game. Growing his bankroll from 2015-2016, he made a big step in 2017 by claiming the #1 overall ranking on RotoGrinders for the year. After completing his primary objective, he was looking for what's next. Attending dozens of fantasy events, Alex realized that everyone was repeating the same story: wanting to be a great DFS player while holding down a full-time job. He realized that the resources available to fantasy players while great weren't enough to help hobbyists get to the level of competing with the top pros. Having met Tom Kennedy during the FanDuel Scottish Open, the two decided to take on the realm of fantasy content along with co-founder Eddie Lai. Alex creates his own projections for each sport he plays, publishing rankings derived directly from them updated for each major slate. He also writes strategy content for how to become a better DFS player in his Game Plan series. You can contact Alex by emailing [email protected].
