March Madness CBB DFS Picks Today: DraftKings & FanDuel NCAAB Predictions

Stud CBB Picks Today

Armando Bacot ($9,200) — It’s an excellent slate to target studs, North Carolina’s Armando Bacot highlights this cohort of players. A walking double-double at this point, Bacot will play every minute with the exception of blowouts and foul trouble. Bacot notched 28, 36, and 33 minutes in North Carolina’s last three games, limited in their most recent contest due to a 32-point win over Marquette. In this span, North Carolina has a 17.6% shot rate, 28.7% rebound rate, and 8.3% assist rate. Baylor defends the interior decently, but losing Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua hurts mid-season hurts their depth. North Carolina is a 5.5-point underdog to Baylor in a game with a 148.5-point total. Even as the underdog, North Carolina has a 71.5-point implied team total.

Chet Holmgren ($9,100) — Gonzaga enters an elite game environment as 10-point favorites over Memphis in a game with a 155-point total. This puts the entire Gonzaga starting five into play and Chet Holmgren into the elite-play category. Holmgren will play 30-35 minutes in competitive games, which rarely occurred in Gonzaga’s cupcake conference. In the last three games, Holmgren has an 18% shot rate, 31.4% rebound rate, and 12.5% assist rate. Deciding between Holmgren and Bacot could be key on this slate, but Holmgren has a much better game environment.

Drew Timme ($7,800) — Egregiously priced on this slate, Drew Timme has slipped below $8K. Like Holmgren, Timme will play 30-plus minutes in competitive games for Gonzaga. He leads the team with a 20.2% usage rate, consisting of a 22.5% shot rate, 20% rebound rate, and 14.3% assist rate. Timme is in an elite buy-low spot after the Holmgren eruption game in Round 1. All of the game environment factors also apply to Timme, making him one of the best price-adjusted CBB DFS picks on the entire slate.

Kennedy Chandler ($7,300) — A middling game environment overall, Tennessee enters the slate as a six-point favorite over Michigan in a game with a 136.5-point total. Likely playing a more competitive game than their Round 1 win over Longwood, the Tennessee studs should see more consistent minutes here. Between the starters, Kennedy Chandler brings the top price-adjusted CBB projection. Chandler has now played 27, 37, and 34 minutes in Tennessee’s last three games. He has a 20.3% shot rate, 12.2% rebound rate, and 23.7% assist rate in that span. Chandler should also be a slightly more contrarian play than some of the other studs in this range.

Teddy Allen ($7,300) — After upsetting Connecticut in Round 1, New Mexico State will take on Arkansas as a 6.5-point underdog in a game with a 138.5-point total. While the implied team total isn’t ideal, New Mexico State has a usage monster in Teddy Allen. Allen has played 39, 23, and 40 minutes in New Mexico State’s last three games, fouling out in his game with 23 minutes. Allen has an absurd 28.8% shot rate, 19.8% rebound rate, and 29.3% assist rate over the last three games. Already scoring 30+ points against UConn, Allen has shown the ability to dismantle even elite defenses like Arkansas.

Mid-Range CBB Picks Today

Stanley Umude ($6,200) — Arkansas enters a match against New Mexico State as a 6.5-point favorite. However, implied for 72.5-points, Arkansas actually has the exact same implied team total as underdog Memphis. Still, Arkansas plays a narrow rotation with risk coming only due to fouls. Among the starters, Stanley Umude has played 40, 35, and 20 minutes in Arkansas’ last three games. In that span, Umude has a 18.7% shot rate, 16.8% rebound rate, and 13.5% assist rate for Arkansas. New Mexico plays decent defense overall, but the condensed minutes make for solid targets here. For those looking to save a little bit of money, Au’Diese Toney is also viable for a slightly cheaper price.

Arthur Kaluma ($5,700) — After an upset win over San Diego State, Creighton enters a matchup against Kansas as an 11.5-point underdog in a game with a 140-point total. Already playing a limited rotation, Creighton will now play without Ryan Nembhard and Ryan Kalkbrenner. With an even tighter distribution of minutes and usage, Arthur Kaluma, Ryan Hawkins, and Alex O’Connell are all in play. Between the three, Kaluma has played 44, 38, and 28 minutes in three straight games. In that span, he has a 19.9% shot rate, 18.8% rebound rate, and 13.9% assist rate. While the matchup isn’t ideal against an elite Kansas team, the Creighton starting five will not leave the floor here.

Landers Nolley ($5,700) — Perhaps the best DFS spot for Memphis since the Alabama game, the Tigers have a 72.5-point implied team total as double-digit underdogs. Memphis also somewhat narrowed its rotation throughout the season. In the backcourt, Landers Nolley and Alex Lomax consistently play north of 30 minutes. Nolley has the better usage behind his 20.6% shot rate, 13.3% rebound rate, and 12.8% assist rate over Memphis last three games. Both are viable here and Jalen Duren could even make some sense in GPP. Duren has a tougher matchup inside against the Gonzaga bigs, but this total doesn’t come around too often for Memphis.

The mid-range looks solid for CBB DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel today. The CBB lineup optimizer was honing in on Kaluma as one of the top NCAAB picks on the slate. CBB Value Picks Today

Davonte Davis ($4,700) — On a slate extremely short on value, taking a shot on a risky player like Davonte Davis might be a necessity. Davis has played volatile minutes. Over Arkansas’ last three games, he notched 36, 31, and 5 minutes. It should be noted that J.D. Notae battled foul trouble in each of those 30-minute games. However, even if Davis sees 25 minutes, his 13.4% usage rate should be enough at this price.

Daryl Banks ($4,600) — With a Saturday slate short on value, the most consistent play legitimately might be Daryl Banks. Saint Peter’s is an 8.5-point underdog to Murray State in a game with an underwhelming 129.5-point total. However, Banks has 37, 25, and 30 minutes over the last three games. Now maximizing his 17.1% usage rate, Banks has a 20.3% shot rate and 16.7% assist rate in that span. Outside of Banks, Doug Edert and Hassan Drame also project as decent CBB DFS values for this Saint Peter’s team.

KeyShawn Feazell ($3,000) — Mentioned above, Creighton enters this game wildly shorthanded. Without Kalkbrenner, Creighton’s next-tallest starter stands 6-foot-7. While Rati Andronikashvili has played more, KeyShawn Feazell is the more natural replacement for Kalkbrenner. Feazell stands 6-foot-9, while Andronikashvili stands 6-foot-4. Both likely play a larger role here, but Feazell could take on more usage due to his size.
