College Football DFS Picks: Jerry Jeudy and Justin Fields, Saturday, September 13 (FREE)

Ben Rasa is back with his CFB DFS PIcks for College Football DFS Saturday on DraftKings, incliuding Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy & Justin Fields.

The third Saturday CFB slate is here and we have a 12 pack of games to breakdown. For 12 games its pretty ugly with not much standing out in terms of big matchups or crazy high totals that we can attack. The one good thing is it should spread ownership out and there are a lot of different options, but with mediocre teams it’s a tricky slate to deal with.

This article is going to highlight some of the big names on the slate and breakdown some of the things to watch as we get another Saturday  kicked off. Make sure to also check out the Saturday Betting breakdown article which breaks down a few games in depth and also talks about a few betting lines that are worth looking into.

** Make sure to monitor news close to lock as a lot of news can break late in CFB. Sometimes there is nothing we can do, but many other times you will be at an advantage if you can swap off someone late when others miss the news **

Quarterback

Justin Fields, Ohio State – 8.9k DraftKings

Broken record as Fields is going to be in play basically every time he is on a slate. He has dual threat abilities and thru two games has 6 passing TD’s while running in 3 on his own. That really boosts the floor, and as a 17 point favorite against Indiana this week expect more of the same. You have a pretty loaded top end QB  pool with Tua and Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders both on the slate, but there is no doubt Fields is a great starting point for any team.

Josh Jackson, Maryland – 6.6k DraftKings

Former Virginia Tech quarterback who now has control of this Maryland offense. Thru two games Maryland looked unstoppable hanging 79 on Howard and then even more impressively putting up 63 last week in a rout of Syracuse. This week Maryland goes to Temple which is a sneaky trap game as the Owls are competitive and tough at home, but this game has the highest total on the slate at 66.5. Jackson thru two games hasn’t been asked to do much in the second half and that should change here making the ceiling even higher if he can continue this passing efficiency. Price wise he is more than reasonable at 6.6k than other QB’s making him a great second QB option.

** Keep an eye on the UCF QB Situation – it’s unknown who will start and depending on who is under center they could be a solid option against Stanford **

Running Backs

Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State – 7.6k DraftKings

Oklahoma State is always a great team to target for DFS because they aren’t good defensively and they score a ton. They are on the road this week at Tulsa where they are still a two TD favorite with an O/U at 64 which is one of the best on the slate. Last week Hubbard only had eight carries which isn’t surprising when you see they played McNeese St and won 56-14. In Week 1 where they were at Oregon St Hubbard had 26 carries for 221 yards and 3 TDs and that is the volume I expect on most weeks for this Cowboys RB. He is the most expensive RB option on the slate, but there is enough value where you can easily grab him and still have room to spend at other positions.

Drake Anderson , Northwestern – 4.4k DraftKings

This is a little dicey as I didn’t know Drake Anderson existed until I saw that starting RB Isaiah Bowser has been ruled out and Anderson is now listed 1st on the depth chart. Its not going to be a workhorse type role as Northwestern has other bodies, but they are a 17.5 home favorite against UNLV making this a great spot and game script to target. Anderson wasn’t involved much in Week 1 with just two carries, but that was against Stanford and Bowser was playing. He should see a big uptick in volume and against an opponent like this him falling in the endzone a few times isn’t out of the question. RB John Moten IV also is in the mix to share this backfield so if you wanted to go to him he always is viable.

Wide Receivers

Jerry Jeudy, Alabama – 8.1k DraftKings

Once again a top end option, but the lead Bama wide receiver is just unstoppable. Jeudy thru two games has 18 catches for 240 yards and 4 TDs and shows no signs of slowing down. They are on the road at South Carolina this week, but its not going to matter and Tua and this offense will be moving. WR Tylan Wallace on Oklahoma State is the most expensive options and of course another quality play, but its hard to fit all these top end guys so the little savings to Jeudy can help. Bama is a 25.5 point favorite with an O/U of 61.5 so Tua and the offense should have plenty of opportunities to make plays and even if they sit due to blowout clearly they can return value.

Sam Crawford, Tulsa – 4.7k DraftKings

Tulsa is a somewhat run heavy team, but they are going to be trailing when they play opponents like Oklahoma St. In Week 1 they went to East Lansing to play Michigan State and couldn’t do much only generating 7 points. OK State’s defense isn’t near the caliber of that MSU team so Tulsa should have more success trying to keep pace in this one. Even in that tough matchup Crawford went 5/49/1 and followed it up last week with 9 catches for 137 yards against San Jose State. He is sub 5k on DraftKings and should get enough volume to once again warrant consideration. The way this slate is shaping up I may have some stars and scrubs lineups and he is a nice salary saver in one of the WR slots.

  1. Like listening to on Fantasy Golf Degen with Kenny. Ya’ll always have a good breakdown of the players and course. I like Hubbard tomorrow but he’s 8.2 on DK. College is tough to play, but thanks for the article.
