Yankees (#1 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)

  • Giancarlo Stanton
  • Brett Gardner
  • Didi Gregorius
  • Aaron Judge

Even though we have a Coors game tonight, the Yankees are still at the top of the implied total board. (Technically, they’re tied with Colorado, but this is my article, so it fits my narrative.)

The only downside to a Yankees stack is the concentration of talent in the OF. It makes it a bit harder to put the pieces together. As you can tell from above, I’m leaning more to Stanton/Gardner over Judge/Hicks, but I‘ll still have all of those guys in a rotation. I’m not a huge fan of Austin Romine, but the rest of the squad looks great.

Cardinals (#6 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)

  • Matt Carpenter
  • Tommy Pham
  • Jose Martinez
  • Marcell Ozuna

Most of my focus for the Cardinals will be in the guys listed above (plus Yadier Molina on DraftKings). Carpenter in particular looks great with the platoon advantage against Dylan Covey. The bottom of the order isn’t my favorite, so I’ll try to use the top of the order with a few different teams, instead of simply rotating through the Cardinals. I guess Jedd Gyorko is in play, but he’s not really inspiring me all that much. Stick to the top and you’ll be happy.

Blue Jays (#5 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)

  • Curtis Granderson
  • Yangervis Solarte
  • Teoscar Hernandez
  • Russell Martin

This one pains me, as the Blue Jays are playing my Braves. I simply can’t help stacking against Julio Teheran, especially when a team is priced super low. Justin Smoak looks solid, I just prefer grabbing the guys listed first. Similarly, I think Lourdes Gurriel is a nice value if you need to save a bit of money. My heart will be cheering against this, but my head will have a ton of Jays.
