Donaldson and the Blue Jays are projected to have the highest implied run total of the slate (5.4 runs). An implied total at that level indicates a perfect storm of solid offense and uninspiring pitching. Carson Fulmer has thrown 35 mediocre inning in his MLB career, and chance are, his stat line won’t improve with tonight’s efford. Donaldson might have the highest ceiling of the night.
Dexter Fowler

He was talked about this morning in the Strategy video with good reason. Fowler is criminally underpriced on FanDuel, although even on DraftKings, he grades out as an A/A. The Cardinals have the 2nd highest implied total (5.1), and Fowler is slotted to hit lead off. You can’t find better value than this.
Matt Carpenter

Like his teammate Dexter Fowler, Carpenter makes an appearance as a Spotlight Hitter for Wednesday night. Carpenter has the benefit of being a lefty in the heart of the order against Jhoulys Chacin. Chacin’s HR/FB rate is significally higher vs. lefties (12.3% vs. 8.9%), which also matches his rate of hard hit balls (32.3% vs. 28.0%). Fowler can set the table, while Carpenter cleans everything up.
