DraftKings and FanDuel Spotlight MLB Stacks, Friday 3/30

Josh Engleman

These spotlight stacks come directly from the lineups of the #1 player in DFS, Awesemo. Follow him on Twitter for more.

Chicago Cubs (@MIA)

Kris Bryant made an appearance in the Hitter Spotlight today, but he’s not the only Cub that should be in your lineup. The Cubs profile has a high-end stack, with an implied run total of 5.0, which is good for 3rd on the night. It’s always best to stack guys that are back-to-back in the order, so moving to Happ and/or Rizzo would be a natural progression. Ultimately, it’s hard to go wrong grabbing any Cubbies today, particularly on FanDuel where they are combining high end production with advantageous pricing.

Philadelphia Phillies (@ATL)

Much like Bryant and the Cubs, Aaron Altherr showed up in the Hitter Spotlight while also being a part of the Stack Spotlight. The Phillies don’t project to have the same top end as the Cubs, but they make up for that with bargain pricing and a match-up against the sometimes homer prone Mike Foltynewicz. The Phillies show up in our FanDuel rankings with 5 A’s and 2 B’s in the value column. They’re slightly more muted on DraftKings (1 A, 5 B), but I wouldn’t hesitate to play multiple Phillies on either site.

Houston Astros (@TEX) |

More often than not, the relative pricing between DraftKings and FanDuel is close. That’s not really the case for the Astros tonight. Although they are easier to fit in your lineup on FanDuel, they are a good choice for both sites with some of the top options for pitching tonight being low priced. Whether your looking for high end projected points (2 As, 6 Bs) or value plays (2 As, 3 Bs), there’s something for everyone. It helps that the Astros are projected for 5.1 runs, which is the highest implied total on the main slate. Springer and Altuve are at the top of the pile (obviously), but Brian McCann, Derek Fisher, Josh Reddick and Marwin Gonzalez are right there with balanced ratings for overall production and value. Since Rangers’ starter Doug Fister has a relatively low projected K/9, that could/should lead to a bunch of balls in play, which would allow the Astros to turn the lineup over a lot.
