The Rockies will be popular most times they’re at home, and tonight against Anibal Sanchez is no exception. Sanchez struggles to keep the ball out of the yard, allowing 1.81 HR/9 last year with the Tigers. A fly-ball pitcher and a total over 6 for the Rockies is good news for Colorado hitters, and that is reflected in Awesemo’s rankings with multiple hitters receiving “A” and “B” point grades.
ATL (@COL)
Bettis may be a better pitcher than Sanchez, but this is a tough matchup even before you take Coors Field into account. Bettis gave up a wOBA near .350 and 33% hard-contact to lefties last year, and the first five he faces tonight are lefties (all receiving “A” or “B” DK point grades). Outside of Freeman at $5.8K on DraftKings, these Braves bats are pretty affordable and may come at lower ownership than the Rockies, making them a solid tournament pivot.

JC Ramirez is a guy that we love targeting with lefties, as he has trouble missing bats. Since the start of last year, he has posted a .377 wOBA, 5.05 xFIP, and almost 45% hard-contact against lefties. This is great news for guys like Matt Joyce, Jed Lowrie, and Matt Olson, who are all great home-run candidates. Ramirez can get himself into trouble very quickly, and then it’ll be up to the taxed bullpen of the Angels who threw over 7 innings last night.
