The Yankees power righties are in a great spot against Danny Duffy on the road in Kansas City with an over 5 run total. Duffy is rocking a 5.31 xFIP, 1.81 WHIP, under 20% K-rate, and 40% hard-hit rate against right-handed hitters this year, which spells trouble against the likes of Judge, Stanton, and Sanchez. These guys will all get decent ownership in tournaments, but I also like adding on Tyler Austin, Miguel Andujar, and Aaron Hicks to make it a full 5-man stack against Duffy with some great hitting weather in KC.
ATL (vs. MIA)
The Braves will go up against Jose Urena who has pitched very well lately, but he is still getting hit very hard for the year, and Atlanta is one of best offenses in the MLB. The Braves have disappointed over the last few days, but this is yet another good matchup for them against a pitcher that is allowing nearly 40% hard-contact. They shouldn’t have trouble putting the ball in play against Urena, and it’s 80 degrees in an already favorable hitting environment. The top-6 in the order are all guys I’m targeting, with an extra bump to Acuna and Albies, and Inciarte, who should be able to run on Urena if they get on base.

The Cubs bats should be popular tonight against Sal Romano, who is one of the worst pitchers in the MLB as far as swings-and-misses go. He has a Swinging-Strike rate under 5% on the season and ranks 184/187 in Whiffs/Swing%. If you’re not going to miss bats against the Cubs in one of the best hitters parks, the start probably won’t go very well. Rizzo, Schwarber, Bryant, and Contreras all have big power, but I’m not overlooking Baez and Ian Happ if they’re in the lineup as well. This is the 2nd-half of a doubleheader, so hopefully we see most of the regulars, as they should be able to tee off on any Romano mistakes.
