I was thinking about mentioned Karl-Anthony Towns to start this off, but I’m confident no one would ever read it again if I did. Just know, I’m playing Towns.
Harrison Barnes
Barnes has been back for two games, playing 28 and 34 minutes respectively. He’s taken a total of 30 shots over those two games. Right now, his salary is roughly $1000 less than his normal price point, so I see no reason to avoid him unless we get word he’ll be limited on this back to back. Price isn’t the only reason I’m interested in Barnes. The Spurs defense this season has been terrible. They currently rank 26th in the NBA in fantasy points per possession allowed. That doesn’t jive with the typical Spurs team. I’m jamming Barnes in until his price normalizes.
Malcolm Brogdon
Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe and Ersan Ilyasova will be getting the bulk of the steam from Giannis sitting out tonight, but I think Brogdon will be the most interesting play from the Bucks due to lower ownership. Brogdon has seen a big boost in usage when Giannis (and Jabari) have been off the floor over the past year+. This is a spot where I’d prefer taking the discount in ownership for a guy with little issue in playing time.
