The trade deadline moves continue to affect DFS value with Cleveland and Utah being my main targets today.
Jeff Green (4500 DK, 3900 FD) and LeBron James (12100 DK, 11500 FD): With IT in the City of Angels and newcomers Rodney Hood, George Hill, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. unlikely to play, the Atlanta Hawks should be in for a healthy dose of Bron tonight. Coming off a spectacular triple-double game-winning performance against Minnesota, I’m expecting more of the same tonight. But he won’t be able to do it alone. With limited bodies available in Cleveland, everyone should see increased opportunities. I’m particularly intrigued by Green whose solid offensive game is typically overshadowed when James, Love and IT are on the floor. % Top-3 Value: James (10.1% DK; 30.0% FD); Green (13.4% DK, 27.0% FD).
Donovan Mitchell (6900 DK, 7500 FD) and Joe Ingles (5100 DK, 4700FD): With prolific-shooter Hood en route to Cleveland, there will be extra minutes and shots for Utah’s wings. The primary beneficiaries will be Mitchell and Ingles. I expect this move to help Mitchell, who has already flashed superstar potential, to continue to burgeon into Utah’s unquestioned offensive leader. Ingles, on the other hand, already one of the more underrated players in DFS, will be an excellent source of value if you’re looking to pivot off the sure to be highly-owned Cavaliers. % Top-3 Value: Mitchell (21.0% DK; 18.8% FD); Ingles (9.5% DK; 22.3% FD).
