Week 13 action kicks off with a Tuesday two-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. This college football DFS breakdown will look at both teams and provide information about each skill position player of note. Make sure to check out our projections, depth charts and datasheets for more information. With that said, let’s dive into the first iteration of the Week 13 CFB DFS picks for Tuesday’s matchup.
College Football DFS: Week 13 Tuesday CFB Picks
QB Kaleb Eleby ($7,200) – Western Michigan
Kaleb Eleby and Rocky Lombardi are the two most expensive quarterbacks on this slate. While Lombardi looks intriguing at first, he has struggled a bit in recent weeks. Part of Lombardi’s appeal is his mobility, behind 390 cumulative yards rushing. However, two games above 90 yards boost his rushing statistics, while he has only eclipsed 30 yards rushing on one other occasion this year. Conversely, Eleby is not very mobile, but he averages 252.4 yards passing per game on 29.2 attempts. As a 3.5-point favorite in a game with a 62.5-point total, Eleby is a good pay-up option for all formats.
QB Drew Plitt ($6,300) – Ball State
The only quarterback in the mid-priced range, Plitt is a potential contrarian option for tournaments. Ball State has played slower this year, but they still pass the ball 51.5% of the time. Plitt averages 188.2 yards passing per game on 30.5 attempts. While the efficiency has not been good, Plitt still offers some mobility, with 148 yards rushing this year. He also faces a Northern Illinois defense that is outside the top 85 in yards per pass attempt allowed. As a 3.5-point favorite in a game with a 59.5-point total, Plitt has the same implied team total as Eleby for Western Michigan.

QB Matt Myers ($5,300) – Buffalo
For those looking to completely punt the quarterback position, Matt Myers will continue to fill in for an injured Kyle Vantrease to close out 2021. Myers is fairly mobile, with 98 yards on the ground in limited action this year. However, Myers is still largely unknown as a passer. He completed 69.6% of his passes for 162 yards and a score last week against Northern Illinois. Buffalo runs 76.4 plays per game, potentially elevating Myers volume moving forward. If Myers can even rival Vantrease’s efficiency, he would become tournament viable.
RB Dylan McDuffie ($7,100) – Buffalo
Without Vantrease, Buffalo only threw the ball 23 times with Myers and instead ran the ball 51 times in a game they lost by six. Dylan McDuffie handled 30 of those carries, giving him at least 21 touches in four straight games. Kevin Marks did return from injury to complement Ron Cook as a change of pace. However, McDuffie is in control of this backfield and Ball State allows 182 yards rushing per game to their opponents.
RB Carson Steele ($6,600) – Ball State
Originally splitting time with Will Jones to start the year, Steele has fully emerged as Ball State’s lead back. Steele has at least 20 targets in three straight games, while also taking on a more active role in the pass game. Buffalo allows over 225 yards rushing to opponents this year, giving Steele a solid matchup to complement his elite workload. With Jones held at or below three carries in three straight games, Steele should be a priority on this slate.
RB La’Darius Jefferson ($4,500) – Western Michigan
Again, Western Michigan is a 3.5-point favorite in a game with a 62.5-point total overall. Helping this already strong game environment, Northern Illinois allows 218.7 yards rushing per game. Western Michigan utilizes a two-back system between La’Darius Jefferson and Sean Tyler. Tyler has 885 yards rushing on 146 carries, while Jefferson has 769 on 176 carries. However, despite the inefficiency, Jefferson continues to play an impactful role in this offense. He has out-carried Tyler in back-to-back games and is likely to be heavily involved against this poor Northern Illinois defense. Jefferson offers the salary saving to jam other studs on the slate as well.
WR Skyy Moore ($7,300) – Western Michigan
As Western Michigan’s alpha receiver, Skyy Moore averages 104.9 yards receiving per game on 10.2 targets. Potentially improving his target volume, Corey Crooms went down with what looked like a severe injury last week. Northern Illinois ranks outside the top 85 pass defenses, making Moore the top receiver play on the slate.
WR Jayshon Jackson ($4,700) – Ball State
Justin Hall missed last week’s game with an injury and is questionable here. If active, Hall is involved enough to rival Moore for top receiver on the slate. Without Hall, Ball State will funnel targets to Yo’Heinz Tyler and Jayshon Jackson. While Tyler has 78 targets to Jackson’s 74, Jackson actually has 580 yards receiving to Tyler’s 415. Without Hall last week, Jackson also out-targeted Tyler 10-9. Jackson also took over Hall’s role in the run game. Hall had at least four carries in four straight games for Ball State. Jackson immediately stepped up to handle three carries after seeing only three games combined prior to last week’s contest. If Hall misses again, Jackson will become an elite value play.

WR Cole Tucker ($5,600) – Northern Illinois
For those looking to stack Northern Illinois, Cole Tucker continues to play a consistent role since returning from injury. With Tyrice Richie going down, Tucker now averages 10.7 targets per game and 65.4 yards per game over Northern Illinois’ last three contests. Trayvon Rudolph is also heavily involved, but his target volume is bolstered by a two-game stretch where he received 35 targets. This makes up more than half of his target volume on the season. Rudolph is more expensive than Moore for Western Michigan, making him a bit too expensive. However, Tucker has similar target volume, coming at a much cheaper price. Tucker is the preferred price-adjusted option from this offense.
WR Quian Williams ($5,400) – Buffalo
Perhaps the riskiest alpha receiver on the slate, Quian Williams averages 74.5 yards receiving per game on 8.6 targets. However, Williams only received five targets last week as Buffalo decided to embrace a run-first approach. Interestingly, Dominic Johnson and Jamari Gassett each checked in with four and six targets themselves. While little separated them last week, Williams’ 95 targets on the year dwarf the 57 and 33 targets that Johnson and Gassett account for. Williams makes sense in Buffalo stacks.
