The news
- Sean Couturier has been upgraded to probably for tonight’s game. Check the line rushes, but it looks like the Flyers will keep Giroux at centre between Konecny and JVR. Couturier would centre Voracek and Raffl. Nolan Patrick moves down to the third line with Simmonds and Laughton. Couturier would take Simmonds spot on the PP1.
- Gostisbehere and Provorov were paired together during the morning skate as well.
- The Pens have shuffled their under-achieving combos. Kessel moves down to PIT2 to play with Malkin and Pearson. Brassard moves to the wing on PIT1. PPs are the same.
- Mark Giordano returns from suspension to pair up with TJ Brodie. Hanifin moves back to the PP2.
- DAL1 has been split up, again. Nichushkin moves up to DAL1, Benn down to DAL2 with Hanzal and Spezza. Benn is no longer on the PP1 either. Radek Faksa takes his place.
- Leo Komarov is a GTD. Josh Ho-Sang would skate in his place on the third line. The always controversial youngster has some offensive upside, with 22 points in 26 AHL games this year.
- Keep an eye on Blackhawks pre-game line rushes. I’d be wary of anything you’ve seen so far. A couple changes coming with Perlini moving to the top line, in game last night, Dylan Sikura called up and Anisimov placed on IR.
- Paul Statsny might be back in for the Knights tonight – GTD. Practiced with the third line yesterday.
Advice:
- JVR is too cheap on DK and that PHI1 line is great value as a result.
- Gootisbehere and Provorov are a sneaky double-d stack that no one is going to own.
In case you missed it:
- With Michael Backlund hitting IR, Derek Ryan takes over the shutdown role on CGY2.
- New Ducks top line: Kase moved up last game to play with Aberg and Getzlaf.
D-stacking:
- Seabrook with CHI1.
- Letang with PIT1
- Leddy with NYI2 or NYI PP1.
- Miller with VGK1

ANA1: 28%
Low recent 5v5
- The Penguins shuffled quite a bit last game – Malkin even played some wing – but that’s probably a one-off.
- Seguin-Benn-Radulov was split up for half of the Stars’ last game. They’ve been split up, but there’s always a chance they find themselves together again, especially in the third period.
