Quick edit: Colton Parayko takes over from Vince Dunn on the Blues PP1. Dunn is a healthy scratch.

Boston Bruins

The new look Bruins second line will feature Jake DeBrusk and Joakim Nordstrom, centered by David Krejci. Ryan Donato is a healthy scratch.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks new PP combinations are as follows:

1: Jokiharju, DeBrincat, Kane, Schmaltz, Toews

2: Keith, Gustafsson, Kahun, Saad, Anisimov

At just $3600, Jokiharju will be popular, but a missed practice and a DTD tag may lower his ownership. Keep an eye on the situation.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Ondrej Palat is skating on the Bolts top like with Steve Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Tyler Johnson begins the season on left wing with Brayden Point and Yanni Gourde. They get a juicy matchup against the Canucks and Anders Nilsson tonight.

Florida Panthers

It looks as though the Panthers will continue their experiment with five forwards on the PP1, Nick Bjugstad being the odd man out from the top-six.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers re-jigged their bottom-six, but that’s not exactly exciting fantasy news:

Caggiula-Strome-Puljujarvi

Rieder-Khaira-Kassian

Los Angeles Kings

Jeff Carter has been moved off the second line. Adrian Kempe will center Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson. Kempe is also on PP1.

Minnesota Wild

Bruce Boudreau has switched up their lines ahead of their showdown with the Blackhawks.

Joel Eriksson Ek moves up to the top line to play with Jason Zucker and Eric Staal, Mikael Granlund moves down to play with Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu, while Nino Neiderreiter will suit up on the third line with Jordan Greenway and Charlie Coyle.

Nashville Predators

Optional skate for the Predators this morning, but we’re expecting the same lineup as last game.

New York Rangers

Not sure if it was last game or this game, but the Rangers have switched their lines around:

Jimmy-Vesey-Kevin Hayes-Ryan Spooner

Pavel Buchnevich-Mika Zibanejad-Jesper Fast

Chris Kreider-Brett Howden-Mats Zuccarello

San Jose Sharks

With the Joe Thornton injury, Evander Kane skated with Joe Pavelski and Kevin Labanc. That trio was deadly in their 8-2 drubbing of the Flyers two nights ago. Kane still isn’t on the PP1 though.

St. Louis Blues

David Perron takes Jordan Kyrou’s spot on the second line with Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz. Kyrou moves down to the third.

Vegas Golden Knights

Optional skate after playing in Washington last night. Check the pre-game rushes. Likely no major changes.

Vancouver Canucks

Tyler Motte moves up to the Canucks top-line, replacing Brendan Leipsic, who was benched to start the second period during their shootout in Raleigh earlier this week.

Pittsburgh Penguins

No major changes

Toronto Maple Leafs

No major changes

Winnipeg Jets

No major changes

Calgary Flames

No major changes

Montreal Canadiens

No major changes for the Habs home opener against the Kings.

I've been obsessed with fantasy sports since as long as I can remember. Back in 1993, while seated in the last row of Mr. MacMillan's math class, I'm fairly certain a few buddies of mine and I invented daily fantasy sports -- popping down our fivers and using nothing more than a newspaper box score, we'd make our NHL player picks for the night's action. Twenty years later I started out playing DFS on DraftStreet, when three-max tourneys with 490 people were a big deal, and I've been hooked ever since. More than anything, I'm interested in using my technical writing skills to articulate and clarify our content in order to help you become a better fantasy sports players player. Armed with Awesemo's grades and the projections from our experts, we're here to help you take the next step. You can contact me by emailing [email protected].
