CSGO DFS Picks: DraftKings Captain & Value Plays for ESL Pro League

Free expert CS:GO esports prizepicks fantasy picks predictions fantasy

Day 3 of ESL Pro League is here and there are three more games to look forward to in Group A pool play. Three of the top 10 teams are in action as they look to secure their spot in the playoffs.

CSGO DFS Picks – ESL Pro League | Aug. 18

Astralis (A) vs Bad News Bears (BEAR)

Unsurprisingly, the Bad News Bears have started 0-2 in pool play with a terrible negative 41 round differential. They have not been close to taking a map off one of the top teams. Although Astralis are not the same team they were a few months ago, they still have the strong core of dupreeh, Magisk and gla1ve. Their newest player, Lucky, has adjusted nicely into the awper role. Even with a new lineup, this still should be a clean win for the Danes. Heroic and Vitality’s performances against Bad News Bears suggest that Astralis are in for a high scoring match, which makes them prime targets for DFS. On DraftKings they carry a hefty price tag, so it makes sense to target their cheaper players.

Favorite DFS Plays:

Dupreeh (CPT) $14,100

Bubzkji $6,400

Spirit (SPI) vs ENCE (E)

Unlike the previous match, this one should be a real battle between two seemingly even teams. Spirit have struggled so far in the group stage, losing to Astralis and getting swept by Heroic. Ence pulled an upset victory over Astralis, while also losing to Vitality in two maps. Despite being winless, Spirit is the better team on paper, with more experience against high level competition. Spirit are one of the easier teams to predict their performance, as degster and mir are more often than not the leading scorers for the team. Degster is easily one of the best plays on the entire slate and is ownership is likely to reflect that. He is severely underpriced and should be a staple of most people’s lineups.

Favorite DFS Plays:

Degster (CPT) $12,600

Hades $7,200

Vitality (VIT) vs Heroic (HERO)

You know what they say, leave the best for last and this is certainly the case for this slate of games. The last two undefeated teams of the group square off for first place and both teams have looked dominant so far. These two faced each other most recently in May, where Heroic eliminated Vitality from Flashpoint 3 in the lower bracket. This matchup will not be as one sided, but Heroic will win this one. The first thing that stands out is ZywOo’s price, which despite easily being the best player on the slate, is cheaper than five other players. Even if Vitality are not favored to win, he is always capable of being the highest scorer. He should carry a lot of ownership though and he notably struggled in their last meeting against Heroic.
