LoL DFS picks DraftKings LPL Slate on Wednesday February 24

This League of Legends slate breakdown will be a little bit different as the EU Masters tournament will be playing out groups in the upcoming days starting on April 29. This means there will be different slates where every team plays each other on DraftKings and I’ll be breaking down the teams in general for today. FanDuel is doing something interesting where you pick a lineup and you get that lineup scored for all of the games for the day. Let’s get into some LoL DFS Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Group B Teams

Vodafone Giants (VGIA): Top of the table VGIA opens the slate against bottom of the table DK. They will at worst finish tied at the top of the table with two wins, and this first game should give them momentum to finish the job. The important thing to note from VGIA is that they averaged 20.3 kills per game in their first 3-0, and since they still need to win at least two games, that number could stay high. It’s fortunate that they face bottom-dweller DK first as it makes subsequent games more likely to carry importance. VGIA could go 3-0 again, and if they maintain over 20 kills per game, Lamabear and his team-leading 75.8% kill participation (KP) looks juicy for LoL DFS purposes.

LDLC OL (LDLC): Currently second in the group, LDLC just need to once again replicate their first round robin results to advance out of groups. They showed they were able to hang with VGIA in their first game as it took 45 minutes for VGIA to win a bloodbath. Their first game is their most important as they take on RGO, and they were victorious in their first attempt with a surgical 38-minute victory. LDLC currently boasts a consistent 15.7 kills per game with their peak being 17 kills in a loss to VGIA. If this team pops off, Bando and his 29.7% damage share in the tournament look really nice from a top laner.

Related

AGO Rogue (RGO): This is the group that has followed seeding up to now as RGO was a three seed and currently sits in third at 1-2. The disappointing thing for LoL DFS purposes is that this team hasn’t placed importance on kills. This is fine if you’re winning games, but often it’s appeared as if they place emphasis on dragging it out and trying to win a fight before winning the game. Their two losses have been longer games with their VGIA loss also netting them 17 kills, but their other two games saw only 11 kills combined. Crazy man Woolite is still churning out big damage, as the veteran ADC has 41.1% of his team’s damage as well as a 69.9% KP.

Defusekids (DK): The nicest thing that I can say about 0-3 DK is that they don’t die a ton. They average a scant 10.7 deaths per game, but also average the second-fewest kills in the tournament with six per game. DK is a team that starts losing immediately as they are down 2,578 gold at 15 minutes on average this tournament. If they manage to play spoiler to any of the above teams, Chapapi’s performances likely improved from the first round robin.

Favorite LoL DFS Plays

VGIA – All players on this team on FanDuel are the second-most-expensive players at their positions. FanDuel is having the entirety of the three games being scored for each team on slate instead of breaking them up, so VGIA acts as almost a free space in my opinion over there.

ADC Hades. He’s the most expensive player on FanDuel which is interesting, but on DraftKings, he will be much easier to build around as he’s the second-highest-priced ADC in the games LDLC don’t play VGIA. The ADC has already shown pop off ability, and I like LDLC to likely replicate their 2-1 first round robin score.

Favorite contrarian LoL DFS Play

ADC – Woolite. If RGO sneak a 2-1 in these games, Woolite should be a massive reason why. RGO is too cheap on FanDuel, so they will be less contrarian over there.
