We have two LPL series tonight, and both appear to be pretty one sided on paper. This could be true, however this is the LPL, so I’m going to break down the two series and their LoL DFS picks for DraftKings.

LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL Slate Breakdown
One of the more erratic LPL teams takes on one of the most stable LPL teams as BLG faces off against EDG to open the action. BLG is coming off a disappointing 1-2 loss to OMG, which was off the heels of a solid 2-1 series win over RNG. Fortunately with such erratic results, BLG is capable of playing their A game, and could very well challenge, or take down a great EDG squad. As with many underdogs, the JNG position is one I have my eye on for tonight, as Meteor is definitely capable, and any early success he finds could prove pivotal for BLG’s chances.
Perhaps it doesn’t require stating, but EDG is the only undefeated LPL team, and it’s very likely that they bring their series record to 8-0 after tonight. Gameplay wise EDG plays an exceptionally controlled game, while remaining even keeled in games they do manage to find themselves behind. EDG has talent advantages essentially everywhere, and with how they play, taking down BLG 2-0 isn’t a crazy thought. Viper is my favorite LoL DFS option from this series, and if I don’t get a lot of him that’ll be surprising.

Up to this point TES has been much more up and down than expected, which explains the 3-3 record, with a really bad series loss to RW early in the split., however they do have a nice sweep against JDG, as well as every series victory up to this point being a 2-0 as well. Talent wise, TES comes out on top here, however they are coming off a blowout loss to FPX, and gauging form after a long break is difficult. I still like TES quite a bit for LoL DFS purposes, as they really should be winning this series 2-0, and if that result comes, Knight is probably a big reason why.
Listen, I tend to find ways to be over the field on LNG most nights, and I’m sure that tonight will be no different. For inexplicable reasons, this is the type of series LNG finds themselves winning or playing at least one competitive game in throughout their history as an organization. Perhaps the best part of LNG series wins is that they are very active as a team with 2.5 assists per kill, allowing everyone, including Ale who starts tonight, to have at least a 70% kill participation. Early game tends to be solid, and if they do find themselves ahead, they really tend to be a pretty smart team macro wise. Light has been in a little bit of a funk recently, and even though the lane assignment is difficult, I’m sure I’ll have some tonight.
MID – Knight. Regardless of how shaky TES has proven to be this split, this could very well be a spot to kickstart them into a more productive latter part of the LPL split.
ADC – Viper. Facing off against another Korean ADC, Viper is in excellent form this split, and he’s a large part of the reason for EDG’s success up to this point.
Favorite Contrarian Picks
JNG – Tarzan. Somewhat regrettably, I’ll very likely be over the field on LNG tonight. Tarzan is excellent, however there are some shaky solo lanes he’ll need to carry for LNG to challenge tonight.
