LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown

Currently on a three series losing streak, DRX has a difficult opponent tonight, and likely will see that loss streak rise to four after tonight. Early game is still an issue for DRX, and it’s difficult to see how they have success not only tonight, but also in the playoffs. For my money, this is the squad that has overachieved the most this split, and while the talent is solid, there are some leaks within their gameplay. Taking chances on DRX isn’t my least favorite thing tonight, with Pyosik being my top priority.

In what’s a potentially interesting late season affair, GEN is the team in this series with more to play for, as getting second is quite important. GEN also happens to be the more talented, well rounded team in this series, and even though DRX can challenge, the motivation for GEN is still prevalent. The LoL DFS aspects of GEN can still be weird, as the 2 assists per kill still remains an unattractive number, however they’re still a capable squad, so I’ll be having some.

A streak of 12 straight series losses is not exactly how one wants their season to go after starting 2-1. Unfortunately for ES, that number is very likely to grow to 13 as even though SN is playoff bound, there’s still a little bit to play for. Nobody knows what this roster will look like in summer, but for tonight, the incentive for me to chase an ES victory just doesn’t exist.

At the bare minimum for SN, ES is not a team they can afford to lose to, as better teams could potentially be given a blueprint for how to beat this late season SN squad. SN has 15 straight 10+ kill games, including losses, with nine of those at 15+, topping out at 25. There are quite a few good reasons to play SN tonight, however SN is expensive, and the underdogs as a whole aren’t particularly exciting. When all is said and done, whatever SN I get will do the job, as there’s little doubt that SN absolutely crushes your LoL DFS lineups.

Officially eliminated from playoffs, AF now have the role of spoilers for their final series of the LCK spring split. Fortunately for them, LSB aren’t an overly impressive team, making this a winnable series to close out an extremely disappointing split. Kiin vs. Summit is an enticing lane matchup for viewers, and if Kiin gets the better of Summit, AF is likely in a better spot for it. Even with their form being bad to put it kindly, AF has a shot to win here, so it’s hard to not imagine having some in my LoL DFS lineups, with Dread likely being someone I target in AF stacks.

As the LCK spring split nears its end, there are a few teams battling it out for the final playoff spot. LSB is one of those teams, and in theory, beating the team in last place is the bare minimum one would expect to enhance their playoff push. Perhaps quietly, LSB is in the top half of the LCK in kills per game, and while it’s not LPL levels, it’s an interesting tidbit when facing the team in the LCK that dies the most. Even though they’re difficult to trust, I’m still buying the LSB stock, and Fate is my favorite option from the squad.

Finishing off the slate gives us BLG taking on FPX. With nothing additional to play for after LNG’s victory over RW, BLG is likely at the disposal of an FPX team that would like to win this series for seeding. If this were a series that mattered for BLG, I wouldn’t be opposed to a dash of them strictly to enable better captains from better teams, however finding narratives to squeeze in any tonight is very difficult. Getting to BLG will be difficult, but possibly not impossible, and if any BLG shows up, it’s likely going to be Meteor.

FPX has playoff seeding to play for so here’s another LPL series with a playoff team needing to win strictly to potentially give themselves better seeding. The V5 loss is concerning, and BLG is a team capable of beating them on a good night, but if FPX comes out as motivated as they should be, this feels like a series they should win 2-0. That 2-0 could be very interesting for LoL DFS purposes as well since FPX rarely has low bloodshed in games won. Lwx is a great option, and he offers an exciting option from FPX tonight.

Favorite DraftKings LoL DFS Picks

Mid – Doinb. There’s always some worry that Doinb just allows himself to get carried in a series FPX wins 2-0, however I’m a fan of the match up tonight, so give me some Doinb, even with the return of Tian.

ADC – huanfeng. It’s possible that SN as a whole is a little more difficult to get to than I’d like, but that will not stop me from finding pieces of them, especially huanfeng tonight.

Favorite Contrarian DraftKings LoL DFS Pick

DRX/GEN. If either side of this series is popular that’ll be worrisome for me, however I don’t hate the less popular side of this series, even if it’s DRX.
