LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown
Sitting at the top of the LCK throne, and without competition for it in the regular season, DWG gets one final challenger in the form of KT. There’s very little to argue with playing DWG in LoL DFS tonight, as they lead the LCK in kills per game at 15.3, and if they’re playing full bore, this also should be another 2-0 sweep. Canyon is someone that can make action happen, and tonight is no different against an opposing jungler he is much better than.
Of the LCK teams vying for the final playoff spot, KT certainly has the most difficult assignment, as DWG isn’t exactly someone you can feel good about defeating. One thing is certain about this match for KT, and it’s they’re going to try really really hard to put themselves in the best position to sneak into playoffs after botching their hot start. That being said, getting there in LoL DFS doesn’t fit my bill tonight.
One of the trickiest things to decipher in late season meetings that don’t particularly matter is which team will show up, will either team show up, and can it be a fiesta of a series? All of these questions aren’t predictable, but if both teams play normally, TT is the better player. There aren’t many teams TT can out-talent, but for me OMG is one of those teams. Overall it’s always tough to gauge these series between two not good teams, but SamD will get usual tonight.
OH MY GOD
The fun part of this series is that both of these teams can legitimately be necessary tonight, and it’s very easy to create reasons for playing either side. Most nights OMG is off the board, but tonight is a night where both sides get action with the hope that it becomes a fiesta between two not good teams. Wuming isn’t someone to get excited about, but tonight is different and TT is playable.

Of all the LCK teams vying for the last playoff spot, NS had the easiest road with KT and BRO as their final two series of the split. Unfortunately for them, they dropped the series against KT, making BRO a series they really need to win. Prior to the loss to KT, NS was in decent form, and they had opportunities to beat KT. NS isn’t anywhere near my favorite LoL DFS team, and it’s entirely possible they only grind out a series win here, but Peanut is playable in a potentially fun battle of junglers.
Even though BRO has little to play for, building an LCK summer split foundation by closing out with a win, while hindering NS playoff chances would be a nice little cherry on top for the newest LCK organization. Should BRO get the win here, they’ll likely be interesting LoL DFS options, as they’re still carrying an insane 2.6 assists per kill, making them viable even without putting up a huge number of kills. BRO is in play, but Hena is the stronger option.
Round out the slate provides LPL fans the best battle of the night as TES takes on WE. TES is correctly favored in this spot, and if they play to the level of their talent, could make for fun LoL DFS options even in a potentially tricky matchup. Playing the highest kill per game LPL team in TES is always a great option, and with TES needing to win for better seeding, motivation is clearly there. Knight is the superior mid laner in this series.
The stakes for this series are pretty high, as WE can catapult TES with a victory tonight, which would secure them a top four spot for LPL playoffs. While this is a possible scenario, and the talent for WE is more than capable of challenging TES, getting a win here will be difficult. WE is a much better early game this year, but TES is a bonkers early game team, so WE will need to not be getting blasted early for them to have a window of opportunity for the upset. Beishang can be a pivotal piece in pulling off the upset, and if he can kickstart lanes, WE can be an interesting LoL DFS team tonight.
Best DraftKings LoL DFS Picks
MID – Showmaker. Without a doubt one of the more exciting mid laners on the slate tonight, Showmaker is in a great spot to put up at the very least a good LoL DFS score.
TT/OMG. Both sides of this series are appealing to me, and even if TT is a better side, the whole series is targetable.
Best Contrarian DraftKings LoL DFS Pick
ADC – Hena. Clearly NS is the team with more to play for here, but NS aren’t worldbeaters, and if BRO pulls off the upset, the team as a whole tends to be very involved.
