With LoL DFS nearing full throttle, both the LPL and LCK are throwing out largely new teams to take a look at, and tonight could provide some fun series. We will be going over some of the best LoL DFS picks today for DraftKings and FanDuel lineups
LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL & LCK Slate Breakdown
Invictus Gaming (IG) vs. ThunderTalk Gaming (TT)
Weibo Gaming (WBG) vs. Team WE (WE)
Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) vs. Nongshim RedForce (NS)
KT Rolster (KT) vs. Damwon Kia (DK)
Stalwarts of the LPL, IG opens 2022 with a largely new roster. Neny, Lucas and XUN are joined by Yuekai, xiaoyueji and their opening series as a squad is possibly as good of a steppingstone as one could ask for. IG will be attractive LoL DFS options tonight, as the talent is superior, and having seen TT be favorable opponents, XUN looks like an incredible JNG option.
As the only team to play a series on this slate, TT enter this series after a shellacking to OMG in their opening series. Due to the unknowns of IG it is possible that TT, and most notably their bot lane in Puff and Southwind could overwhelm IG’s new bot lane, but LoL DFS need to tread carefully with a team that looked every bit a bottom feeder as expected to enter this year.
HANWHA LIFE ESPORTS
Following a surprising Worlds performance, HLE has a nearly unrecognizable roster entering the new year. Even though this roster features no rookies, the composition looks like a middle table team at best, and a bottom tier team more often than not. Kicking off against NS is not ideal, but if they are to get it done, SamD is someone to look at.
Bdd headlines a new NS roster with enough talent to at least make the playoffs this split, although challenging the top of the table might be out of reach. Finding an opening series against HLE should be a nice opener to find momentum with the roster, and if Dread is on point, he will be an intriguing LoL DFS option, and it will be interesting to note the ownership on NS as a whole tonight.
Formerly known as Suning, WBG enters 2022 as one of the more exciting LPL rosters, with the additions of SwordArt and TheShy, although ON gets the start at the SUP position tonight. The positive of this roster is that it is four-fifths of the 2020 roster that made Worlds finals, and the question mark firmly sits in the play of TheShy. Getting a motivated TheShy leaves the door open to WBG being a contender, while also making the team a more attractive LoL DFS option, and with an opener against a lesser known WE team could well set the table for how the year will go.

Unfortunately for WE this roster might not be able to compete with the heavy hitters in an incredibly stacked LPL. New additions Biubiu, and Kedaya join a roster of largely untested talent outside of Shanks. View getting the start at JNG tonight further dampens WE’s LoL DFS prospects tonight, nonetheless he has still got some talent, yet it remains to be seen how that translates to a more regular starting role if that is the case. Biubiu gets to take on a notoriously coin flip laner in TheShy, and if he and View get him going, could be an interesting piece to consider.
It is a bit unfortunate that KT runs into the presumptive LCK favorites in DK, as even though the roster looks a bit disjointed on paper, there is some solid pieces to work with. Early season still remains the time to catch teams out, but expecting even a veteran KT roster to challenge DK is a bit ambitious, although if the upset occurs, Cuzz if he starts likely finds his footing against Canyon.
Not much needs to be said about DK, as they at least talent upgraded the ADC position with deokdam joining, and the departure of Khan opens the door for either Hoya or Burdol to get their shot. DK needs little introduction, and are solid favorites tonight, while also carrying good LoL DFS upside, with Showmaker standing out with his matchup against Aria.
Favorite Pick Tonight
MID – BDD. In terms of safety NS offers as much as LoL DFS players can ask for tonight, with their new roster looking much stronger than the HLE roster entering 2022.
Favorite Contrarian Pick Tonight
TOP – TheShy. Coin flip players are fully capable of flaming out, and few players represent this motto better than TheShy. If he finds comfort with his new roster though, he is capable of taking over games and finding great LoL DFS scores.
