LoL DFS Picks Today: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown
LPL Series
Rare Atom (RA) vs. JD Gaming (JDG)
WE (WE) vs. ThunderTalk Gaming (TT)
LCK Series
DRX (DRX) vs. Damwon Kia (DK)
Kwangdong Freecs (KDF) vs. Hanwha Life Esports (HLE)
RARE ATOM
Fighting to secure playoffs, RA finds themselves with two difficult series to close out their LPL. The good news is that a lot needs to go wrong even if they lose their final two series, and tonight is a fair test against JDG. Cube has been a large reason for the recent RA success, and 369 is a top laner Cube can take advantage of tonight.
JD GAMING
Perhaps the best part of the tail end of the LPL season is that playoff teams are greatly incentivized to win, especially in the crowded two through nine range, where JDG fits. JDG also has two difficult ending series, but RA has holes in their games, and JDG is competent enough to take advantage of, and it has to start with Kanavi who could be a solid LoL DFS play tonight if JDG comes out on top.
DRX
Both LPL and LCK openers are the series with collectively better teams, both with playoff positioning on the line, as even though neither team can top two, both likely prefer facing the six seed over the five seed. Currently on a four-win streak, DRX have the talent to take it to five, but Pyosik will need to hold his own over Canyon tonight to do so, which would help DRX overall.
DAMWON KIA
Not having the two seed to fight for doesn’t take away any importance from this series, as it’s likely T1 will pick between these teams in playoffs, so doing anything to avoid that, including looking like the strong team could be massively important. Showmaker gets a solid lane opponent tonight, but if he gets help from Canyon early, he’ll be in a great spot to find LoL DFS relevance should DK win.

WE
On the flip side of the LPL, WE taking on TT in a battle of the bottom closes it out. Oddly enough WE looks like a team ready to burst into the scene when summer shows up. WE are currently playing much better than TT, and since they’re a bit more volatile, noting ownership, could be pivotal, especially on players like Xing, as even though the spot is good, trusting a popular bottom table team always carries risk.
THUNDERTALK GAMING
Closing out their LPL spring split, TT gets a favorable opportunity to pick up their third win. TT isn’t often a LoL DFS friendly team, as they are bottom of the LPL in kills per game, but in six of their nine wins, they’ve put up at least 15 kills, and WE aren’t afraid of action, so players like Ucal could be in consideration for LoL DFS lineups.
KWANGDONG FREECS
It’s not or never for KDF, as a playoff spot is on the line, with little time remaining. KDF is often a sneaky LoL DFS play in wins, as only three of their 15 game wins feature fewer than 15 kills, and even though they only average 2.1 assists per kill, finding ways to get to KDF tonight in a must win series could be particularly appealing, especially if they get overlooked at their generally expensive price tags.
HANWHA LIFE ESPORTS
As the team most likely to end bottom of the LCK table, HLE closes out their split against KDF and NS, with them being underdogs in both series. Despite this being a potentially friendly series, HLE are fringe LoL DFS considerations at best, but an overperforming Karis could spark HLE to an upset.
Favorite LoL Pick Today
ADC – Teddy. With everything to play for, alongside being one of, if not the best ADC on this slate, Teddy puts up great LoL DFS numbers even on an inconsistent KDF squad.
Favorite Contrarian LoL Pick Today
ADC – Deft. Perhaps it’s the night of the LCK ADC, as a cheap Deft is appealing to pair with other favorites on the slate, in a winnable, but potentially difficult series against DK.
