Once again, we’ve got two pretty sizable favorites on this LPL slate. LoL DFS-wise, the LPL never seems to stop surprising, but I might not be too expectant tonight. Tomorrow the slates get bigger with the LCK coming back four days a week, but tonight gets its own breakdown. Let’s get into the DraftKings LoL DFS picks for today.

THUNDERTALK GAMING

Kicking it all off is TT who quietly won the two series before a bump in the road against LGD last time out. Outside of a six kill game win against LNG, TT has a very solid kill total in the four other wins. Tonight is a tricky task, however not an impossible one, as even though RA is playing exceptionally well right now, breaks can mess with momentum, as we’ve seen with some LCK teams. End of the day I’m not expecting too much from TT in this spot, but SamD is the player most on my radar should TT find ways to get ahead early game. 

RARE ATOM

Likely one of the hottest LPL teams before the break, RA looks to increase their series win total to four in a row, as well as their game winning streak to eight. Both of these are firmly on the table, as RA has the talent and ability to handily defeat TT. Getting ahead early has proven to be a successful formula for RA, as currently their win rate when ahead at 15 minutes is an excellent 88.9%. Naturally ownership likely dictates a lot of the heavy favorites ownership, however I’m going to try to be heavy on the best mid laner on the slate in FoFo.

TEAM WE

Finishing up the last LPL only slate for a little while sees WE taking on ES. WE is coming off a solid win over an FPX squad that was forced into throwing Tian back into the fire before anybody wanted to. Regardless it was an impressive 2-0, and tonight offers yet another opportunity to continue climbing through the ranks. Stylistically WE holds advantages pretty much everywhere, however it’s going to be interesting how many different lines you’ll be able to get to with the favorites, but those ones will feel really good tonight on paper. 

ESTAR

ES is making their reappearance after the break, and unfortunately their first opponent is not only a solid one, but also one that’s already played once since the break. Weirdly enough, of the two dogs tonight, ES is a little more intriguing for me. In four of their seven game wins, they’ve put up 20+ kills, while also coming up short at 19 once, making them an interesting option if they are to come out victorious tonight. Irma is a solid option tonight for those considering ES, and I’ll have no issues getting a little bit provided the shoe fits. 

Favorite Pick

MID – FoFo. Just to reiterate here that I’m not so quietly a fan of FoFo, especially tonight. TT providing opposition isn’t impossible, but FoFo is in too good of a spot to ignore for me.

Favorite Contrarian Pick

ADC – rat. I’m not against playing ES tonight, and ES tends to score decently in victories, which could allow rat a good shot at putting up a good score.
