LCK Series

Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) vs. DRX (DRX)

Afreeca Freecs (AF) vs. Liiv Sandbox (LSB)

LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LCK Slate Breakdown

Summer 2021 is a little bit of a nightmare for both of these teams, as they were playoff teams in spring, and they currently both reside at the bottom of the table. HLE is the team with more overall talent, even with a struggling Chovy, but up to this point, nothing seems to be clicking. As the team with more talent, and this being a two-game series, HLE has plenty of LoL DFS interest, with Deft having a solid lane matchup, and a 66.2% kill participation (KP.)

Usually when looking at two bottom-of-the-table teams, there might be some stats that distinguish one team over the other. This isn’t the case here as both of these teams are bottom of the LCK in kills per game, while also dying the most. Realistically there’s little reason to trust DRX, other than the fact that this is a match between the two current bottom teams in the LCK, and if they get it done, Pyosik has an absurd 83.7% KP.

Closing out the LCK’s only two-gamer, two teams who have shown signs of life to kick off their 2021 summer campaign. AF remains a solid early game team, with a +582 gold differential at 15 minutes, and their 77.8% win rate when ahead at 15 presents an interesting option against a less solid early game squad. Trust in either team is difficult, nonetheless both have shown improvement from spring, and if AF comes out on top, Dread puts up a solid LoL DFS score.

As the team in slightly better form, having won three of four, as well as taking a game off of GEN, LSB is finally playing up to the level of talent they have on the roster. This doesn’t make them someone to easily trust, but they have more than a shot here as long as they don’t allow AF to get a free pass through the early game. LSB presents a solid LoL DFS option as the cheaper team, and FATE is a player to keep an eye on, as the mid laner has been quite involved in kills up to this point.

Favorite Pick

JNG – yoHan. This’ll have the caveat that you need to make sure yoHan does in fact start, but if he does, he sports a nearly 80% KP, in a very winnable series for HLE.

Favorite Contrarian Pick

TOP – Summit. In what should be a very interesting lane matchup with Kiin, both top laners are likely their teams’ best players. If LSB plays around top lane, Summit will be a big benefactor, while offering solid LoL DFS potential on this two game LCK only slate.
