Week 14 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Quarterbacks: Taysom Hill & Derek Carr

By dissecting each matchup for Week 14, fantasy players can see how it will positively and negatively impact each quarterback. Keeping tabs on the fantasy football rankings is crucial to know where players are rising and falling throughout the week at any given position. Here are the Week 14 quarterbacks to start and sit.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Must Start: Taysom Hill — Saints at Jets

Hill is one of the most intriguing quarterbacks in all of fantasy football. Despite him passing the ball terribly against the Cowboys, he was still the QB6 at the end of the week. In that game he was 19-for-41 for 264 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. The saving grace of his fantasy day was 11 carries for 101 yards. Even with him having suffered mallet finger last week and having to play with that this week, he should be just fine since he is playing the Jets.

Must Start: Derek Carr — Raiders at Chiefs

Carr had a subpar performance last week against Washington, with 28 completions on 38 attempts for 249 yards. While that was not what those who started Carr were looking for, this week he has the potential for a big performance. The last time the Raiders played the Chiefs was Week 10, and Carr passed for 261 yards, two touchdowns with an interception. This game has all the potential to be back and forth and high scoring.

Must Sit: Ben Roethlisberger — Steelers at Vikings

Roethlisberger had his second-best fantasy performance of the season last week against the Ravens, with 21 completions on 31 attempts for 236 yards and a touchdown. That said, this week things are likely to go back to normal. The upside is not simply there for Roethlisberger.

Must Sit: Jared Goff — Lions at Broncos

Goff had one of his best performances on the season last week, with 25 completions on 41 attempts for 296 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against the Vikings. This week against the Broncos, however, appears to be a regression game. While the Broncos lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs last week, defensively they played quite well. That defense has allowed under 22 points in three of the last four games, so Goff is a tough play this week.
