Week 4 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: These QBs Have Week-Winning Upside | Ryan Tannehill & Joe Burrow

By dissecting each matchup for Week 4, we can see how it will positively and negatively impact each quarterback. Keeping tabs on the fantasy football rankings is crucial to know where players are rising and falling throughout the week at any given position. Here are the start/sit quarterback options for NFL Week 4.

Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Must Start: Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)

It does not get much easier for a quarterback than playing against the Jaguars, an 0-3 team that just traded one of their best defensive assets in C.J. Henderson. It should be no struggle for Burrow to decimate the Jacksonville defense, even if Tee Higgins is out with injury. Burrow had a down game against the Bears, but in his other two matchups he looked impressive. He should maintain that form this week.

Must Start: Ryan Tannehill — Tennessee Titans (at New York Jets)

Tannehill has not lived up to expectations, as he is currently QB19. However, things appear to be improving, as Tannehill was QB8 last week against the Colts. A.J. Brown is likely going to miss this game, but Julio Jones should produce this week against the Jets. The only worry with this game is that Tennessee get an early lead and run the ball out with Derrick Henry, but if that is the case, Tannehill could put up some points early.

Must Start: Tom Brady — Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at New England Patriots)

On paper this should be a tough matchup, as the Patriots defense has looked solid all season. With that said, this is Brady’s homecoming to Foxborough. Despite the losing effort against the Rams last week, he threw 55 times for 41 completions and 432 yards and a touchdown. This should come as no surprise, as he is QB1 in fantasy football. Continue to start Brady with maximum confidence.

Must Sit: Teddy Bridgewater — Denver Broncos (vs. Baltimore Ravens)

Bridgewater has been a reliable starter this season, but this week will be his toughest test yet against the Ravens. While it is entirely possible that he will have a solid week, sitting him down for this matchup is ideal. The Broncos have played the Giants, Jaguars and Jets to start the season, so it tough to know exactly how good the offense is. If Bridgewater plays well this week, it is safe to say he is a quarterback to rely upon weekly.

Must Sit: Justin Fields — Chicago Bears (vs. Detroit Lions)

Fields’ first start was far from ideal, as he went 6-for-20 for 68 yards and 12 yards rushing. It was not all Fields’ fault, as the offensive line could not stop anything. This week it is not clear if Fields is going to start because Matt Nagy said that Nick Foles, Andy Dalton or Fields could play. Even in a positive matchup against the Lions defense, he has to sit.

Must Sit: Daniel Jones — New York Giants (at New Orleans Saints)

Jones was a huge swing and a miss last week. Against the Falcons he threw 35 times for 24 completions and 266 yards and ran for 39. Losing Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard was certainly part of the equation, but it is also possible that they will both be out this week. The Saints defense has shut down the Packers and the Patriots this season, and with the lack of a receiving corps and the tough defensive matchup, Jones is an easy fade this week.
