These Week 1 Buy-Low Trade Values Could Win Your Fantasy Football League

Fantasy players consistently overreact to the first game of the season. Just because a player drafted in the first round comes out the gate slowly does not mean that they are a bust. In some situations it takes time, especially if that player has a tough schedule early on in the season, or just a tough Week 1 matchup. Checking fantasy football projections can provide a sense of how a player should perform in a given matchup. Let’s look into some of the best fantasy football trade values for Week 1 that could be league-winners with the right buy-low offer.

Week 1 Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Values & Targets

Ezekiel Elliott – RB – DAL

Ezekiel Elliott is the most obvious trade target following last night’s game against the Buccaneers, as leaguemates may struggle to keep a calm mind. Elliott played on 70 of the 84 running back snaps against the Buccaneers. Some may panic seeing Tony Pollard getting some work, but he was only in on 20% of the snaps. Anyone with Elliott on their roster drafted him because of all the opportunities he will get in Dallas. But if they are in a full panic, snag Elliott on the cheap.

Ja’Marr Chase – WR – CIN

While it may take a few weeks for Ja’Marr Chase to get into the swing of things, right now most are concerned with Chase. It came out yesterday that Chase cannot see the football as well as he did in college. Despite what will likely be early-season struggles, he was a top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for a reason. Eventually it will all click, and Chase will be one of the top receivers in a pass-heavy Bengals offense. The best bet may be to wait until after this game and trade for him after he potentially struggles against the Vikings.

Logan Thomas – TE – WAS

It was just reported that Curtis Samuel has been placed on the IR due to a lingering groin injury, which could take him out for a decent amount of time. While that will certainly give a bump to Terry Mclaurin, it also severely helps Thomas. Thomas is Washington’s clear second-best receiving option behind McLaurin, and a top-five season may be coming for Thomas in 2021.

Austin Ekeler – RB – LAC

Austin Ekeler is dealing with a hamstring injury, which puts his Week 1 status in jeopardy. With that said, doctors have said that Ekeler has at least a decent chance to play this week. With panic at an all-time high, this is the cheapest Ekeler will be all season. If it comes out that he will miss this week, he will come at an even better price.
