Week 12 Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Candidates: DeAndre Hopkins & Dawson Knox

Checking fantasy football projections can provide a sense of how a player should perform in a given matchup. Let’s look into some of the best fantasy football trade values for Week 12 that could be league winners with the right buy-low offer.

Week 12 Fantasy Football Buy Low Trade Targets

DeAndre Hopkins – WR – Arizona Cardinals

Hopkins has missed three consecutive games with a hamstring injury. The team is on bye this week, and it seems that he should be returning relatively soon. During this time of Hopkins being out, Kyler Murray was out as well for the same three games. When healthy Hopkins could easily finish as a top-five wide receiver. The best time to be trading for a player is either when they are hurt or on bye, and Hopkins is both.

Dawson Knox – TE – Buffalo Bills

Knox started off the season as a top-tier tight end prior to his injury. He returned after a stay on the injured reserve in Week 10 against the Jets and had just one reception for 17 yards. Last week he faced the Colts and had six receptions on 10 targets for 80 yards. It is clear that Knox is in a great scenario to succeed in Buffalo. Finding a reliable tight end is difficult in fantasy, so get one like Knox while he is cheap if possible.

Michael Pittman Jr. – WR – Indianapolis Colts

Pittman has been on a downward spiral over the last two games. Last week against the Bills he saw just two receptions on five targets for 23 yards. Over the last few games, Jonathan Taylor has taken over, and the team has not needed to pass the ball as much. It seems improbable that they will be able to coast through games running the ball going forward with very tough matchups. They face the Buccaneers, Texans, Patriots and Cardinals over the next four weeks. Pittman is still the clear lead receiver on the Colts and has top-12 value going forward.

David Montgomery – RB – Chicago Bears

Montgomery returned from injury two games ago against the Steelers. Last week against the Ravens he had 14 carries for 58 yards. Even in leagues with no trade deadline, the buy-low window will slam shut this week after Montgomery faces the Lions on Thanksgiving. Whether the quarterback is Andy Dalton or Justin Fields has little to no effect on Montgomery. Last season Montgomery had a late-season resurgence, and the same thing could happen this year.

Dak Prescott – QB – Dallas Cowboys

Prescott is coming off of a very poor performance last week against the Chiefs. Everyone expected this to be a high-scoring, back-and-forth game between two great offenses, and instead it was a snooze fest. Prescott had 28 completions on 43 attempts for 216 yards and two interceptions. This is not the first time the Cowboys have faltered this season, and that may have fantasy managers nervous. However, Prescott was without Amari Cooper in this game, and CeeDee Lamb was knocked out of the game with a concussion. Going forward Prescott should return to form.
