Week 11 fantasy football start 'em sit 'em running backs lineup advice tips strategy who to start who to sit Mark Ingram AJ Dillon Packers running backs

Running back has been a highly variable position this year, so analyzing matchups becomes all the more important for fantasy football. Below we will break down the NFL fantasy football rankings and go over the Week 11 fantasy football start ’em/sit ’em running backs.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Running Backs

Must Start: A.J. Dillon — Packers at Vikings

With the injury to Aaron Jones, Dillon will receive a high workload until Jones returns. Last week against the Seahawks he had 21 rushes for 66 yards and two touchdowns and 62 yards receiving. This should be a relatively competitive game, allowing for the Packers to give Dillon both receiving and rushing work. He has top-five upside this week, so he is a must-start against the Vikings.

Must Start: Mark Ingram — Saints at Eagles

It seems less and less likely that Alvin Kamara will play this week against the Eagles, which opens up a huge role for Ingram. Last week against the Titans he had 14 rushes for 47 yards and a touchdown as well as 61 yards receiving. The Saints like to commit to the running back even when Kamara is out, so Ingram should have be a workhorse for the week. He has potential for a top-five finish against an Eagles defense that ranks 20th in run DVOA.

Must Start: Myles Gaskin — Dolphins at Jets

While there is always risk playing Gaskin, the upside is too strong to bench him. The Jets last week allowed Matt Breida to score two touchdowns, so it should not be all that surprising if Gaskin has the best game of the season. Last week Gaskin had 14 rushes for 31 yards, and he should get a lot of carries if this game against the Jets gets out of hand.

Must Sit: Clyde Edwards-Helaire — Chiefs vs. Cowboys

It seems as though Edwards-Helaire is nearing a return this week. However, he is no longer the lead back going forward. With so many solid performances coming from Darrel Williams in Edwards-Helaire’s absence, there is not a significant role available for him in the Chiefs offense. The Cowboys defense is middle of the road against the run, ranking 18th via DVOA, but Williams has played Edwards-Helaire out of a job.

Must Sit: D’Onta Foreman — Titans vs. Texans

While it appears at this point Foreman is the leader in the committee between him, Adrian Peterson and Jeremy McNichols, any running back in this committee can be thrown into the game and get the one valuable touch on the goal line. Foreman led the team in rushing attempts last week with 11 for 30 yards, but even with the positive matchup against the Texans defense, the Titans running backs are best left on the bench.
