KBO DFS Picks: Spotlight Pitchers

Hyun Hee Han

In my opinion, Han is the clear cash game starter on both sites. Results this season haven’t been kind; he’s sporting a 6.64 ERA in 20.3 innings. FIP has him at 5.17, which is better, but still terrible. There’s reason for optimism, though. Han has also allowed a .403 BABIP, tied for the second-highest in the league. I fully expect Han to get back closer to his 2019 form moving forward. It doesn’t hurt that the Kiwoom Heroes are -173 favorites, the second-biggest line on the slate. Lock him in.

Ki Young Im

If you’re looking to make an ownership move on FanDuel, or you need a second starter on DraftKings, Im is next in line. While the results haven’t come in the form of wins, Im has thrown 21 innings with a FIP of 2.65. That’s the sixth-lowest mark in the league among qualified starters. He and the Kia Tigers are -164 favorites, which certainly helps. If this 22.4% strikeout rate is real, Im has real upside at half of the FanDuel ownership of Han.
