KBO DFS Picks: Spotlight Pitchers
Odrisamer Despaigne
Despaigne has been brilliant in his KBO campaign. He’s struck out 21 batters in 24 innings with just two walks and zero home runs allowed. It’s been a dream start in his first year post-MLB. Today, he heads into a matchup with the Kia Tigers as the second-biggest favorite on the slate. Our projections gave him the highest overall projection and the best value of any pitcher. Unsurprisingly, he’s also projected for the highest ownership. Despaigne should be your primary cash option.
Ki Young Im
Oddly enough, my other favorite pitching option is taking on Despaigne and the Suwon. Im has had a similar start to the season, limiting opponents to a 1.06 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 16 innings pitched. Unfortunately, he comes into this game as a sizable underdog. We have him projected as the second-highest scorer on DraftKings and the third-highest scorer on FanDuel. The ownership follows him on DraftKings, but he looks like a fantastic tournament play on FanDuel where we project him for 15% ownership. He hit my exposure cap on my preliminary crunches, so make sure you’re rotating him in accordingly.
