MLB picks: Our FanDuel MLB DFS Cheatsheets column highlights value plays in each price range for fantasy baseball lineups for July 21

The following Spotlight Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman. Please check back later for notes/additional picks from Awesemo himself.

Dexter Fowler
FD: $3100
DK: $4000<

I love playing Dexter Fowler against lefties. I especially like it when the Cardinals have the third highest implied total outside of Coors. Getting those things at either price while batting lead-off? Sign me up.

*With Fowler out, give me some Joey Gallo. The Rangers implied total looks nice, and I think Gallo can get to Felix.

Alex Bregman
FD: $3800
DK: $4200

Bregman has been a bit frosty to start the season, but I think a date with the White Sox could be the cure for what ails him. He’s still hitting in a prime spot of the order, for a team that has the chance to breakout at a moment’s notice. The Astros are a solid high-end stack option, and I think Bregman’s combination of upside and price is hard to ignore.

Christian Yelich
FD: $3800
DK: $4700

Yelich might be my favorite play of the day. He has a very reasonable price on both sites, with the Brewers having the highest implied total outside of Coors. Yelich destroys righies, with a career slash line of .298/.383/.456. The Brewers are my best stack of the day, and Yelich is the best bat of the bunch.

Awesemo’s Notes
Fowler is getting the day off but I think the Cardinals are in a good spot. I think Tommy Pham and Jedd Gyorko are both good plays in cash. Bregman and Yelich are good plays but in cash I probably will be going a bit cheaper at most positions to fit in stud pitchers. One bargain I like is Justin Bour at 3k on DK. The team total doesn’t jump off the page but it’s good for the Marlins given the lineup they are running out these days.
