The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.
Angels (#1 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Ian Kinsler
- Mike Trout
- Justin Upton
- Luis Valbuena
If David Hess were left handed, this would be even more ridiculous. The Angels have the second highest implied total on the slate combined with a relatively cheap line-up outside of Trout. The majority of my exposure is concentrated in the top of the order, but I’ll still work in guys like Andrelton Simmons and Kole Calhoun. I find Pujols difficult to get to on DraftKings, where Luis Valbuena has a better price, so keep an eye on their respective ownership projections throughout the day.
Blue Jays (#2 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)
- Teoscar Hernandez
- Justin Smoak
- Aledmys Diaz
- Curtis Granderson
It feels like I haven’t used a lot of Blue Jays over the past month, so this is refreshing. It’s possible Granderson moves out of the lead-off spot, but if he doesn’t, I still like him against Liriano, even though there’s a significant platoon disadvantage. Teoscar and Smoak are two of my favorite plays on the entire slate. Aledmys Diaz pops up a ton due to his position and price. Russell Martin is my clear top catcher option on DK.
White Sox (#3 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)
- Yoan Moncada
- Avisail Garcia
- Jose Abreu
- Tim Anderson
While the Rangers have the highest implied total on the slate, their opponent’s have a much better DFS outlook. The top of the White Sox order is loaded today. You can stack the entire infield, which makes filling out a line significantly easier. Moncada, Garcia and Abreu steal the show, but Matt Davidson’s dual eligibility is valuable. Omar Narvaez is functional on DraftKings. Chicago is the perfect stack option if you want to use power outfield bats from other squads.
