The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.
Nationals (#2 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Trea Turner
- Juan Soto
- Matt Adams
- Bryce Harper
At 8PM yesterday, the Nats were getting smoked by the Marlins. By the end of the game, they had taken over. Trea Turner went ham (I wonder who recommended him?). Today is a new day, but I’m heading right back to the well. Turner has too low of a price for his position and spot in the order. After Turner, start scooping up all the lefty hitters. Dan Straily has a career 5.10 xFIP vs. LHH.
Twins (#3 DraftKings / #4 FanDuel)
- Brian Dozier
- Jorge Polanco
- Logan Morrison
- Max Kepler
It’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day in this Spotlight article. Once again, I’m going to own quite a bit of Twins (and Orioles). It hasn’t worked yet, but I’m patient. Baseball is a funny game. It’s just too hard to avoid the cheap prices. Polanco is cheap, plus he has dual eligibility. Eduardo Escobar is less cheap, but has the same eligibility. I like Mitch Garver on DraftKings if you’re looking for a catcher. Joe Mauer looks good at the top of the order if you don’t want to use Logan Morrison. The Twins will help you get to the Sale/deGrom tier.
Orioles (#1 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)
- Tim Beckham
- Chris Davis
- Jonathan Schoop
- Adam Jones
Everything I said about the Twins applies here. The Orioles are a great stack if you’re looking to use Sale/deGrom. It would be nice if they had a few more lefty bats, but I’ll make due with the bargain prices. I have no issue paying up for Machado, but he doesn’t fit as easily as everyone else with his price. I barely got Trey Mancini or Chance Sisco on my first draft, so use your discretion with those guys. Otherwise, feel free to mix and match to make your lines work.
