The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.
Giants (#1 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Alen Hanson
- Buster Posey
- Andrew McCutchen
- Austin Slater
Coors! While recording the Night Shift podcast (available on iTunes!), I anticipated not being on this game, as the total was slightly lower and the projected lineups looked a bit different. Now, I love the Giants. Alen Hanson is grading out as one of my best dollar-for-dollar plays of the day. Brandon Belt is way too expensive on DraftKings, but he looks like a nice 1B bargain on FanDuel. Even Austin Jackson (projected in the 8-hole) is in a good spot against the lefty, Kyle Freeland. I expect the Giants to be popular, but that’s what happens when you play in Coors and don’t have inflated prices.
Rays (#2 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)
- Daniel Robertson
- Kevin Kiermaier
- Carlos Gomez
- Matt Duffy
The Rays are the budget stack of the day. Crazy low prices on both sites. While they don’t have the same sort of upside as other teams, they have the ability to help you fill out our roster in the cheapest way possible. On FanDuel, no one has a salary over $3000. The guys listed above should help you grab more expensive stacks (Giants/Reds/Indians) and expensive pitchers (Scherzer/Kluber/Ray), so they‘ll be a frequent option in my lines.
Reds (#3 DraftKings / #4 FanDuel)
- Scott Schebler
- Joey Votto
- Eugenio Suarez
- Tucker Barnhart
It’s James Shields Day! As per usual, I’ll be stacking heavily against shield. It all starts with the guys I’ve listed. Scooter Gennett’s salary is higher than I like, but he still comes up a bit on FanDuel. On DraftKings, the $5000 price tag for a 2B is tough to swallow. Jesse Winker is a step below the top four, but works nicely if you‘re trying to save a bit of money. Jose Peraza doesn’t hit enough (for me) to be a value at his $4500 DK salary, but I‘ll still pop him in a few times to differentiate.
