DraftKings and FanDuel Spotlight Hitters & Stacks, Sunday 8/19

The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.

Indians (#1 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)

  • Francisco Lindor
  • Jose Ramirez
  • Yonder Alonso
  • Michael Brantley

No surprises here. Cleveland is my clear number one stack. They have the highest implied total on the slate, with good reason. Yefry Ramirez is not good. If you’re looking to save money on the stack, you can drop down from Jose Ramirez to Yandy Diaz. Jason Kipnis grades out as a nice value option at second base. As per usual, the only guy that I’m avoiding is Greg Allen. There’s just not enough value coming out of his spot at the bottom of the order. Otherwise, feel free to mix and match. This match-up is too good.

Nationals (#2 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)

  • Trea Turner
  • Bryce Harper
  • Adam Eaton
  • Juan Soto

I’d feel bad about going back to the Nats, but they have the second highest implied total on the slate. They can’t be ignored. The lefties look great. You can easily slot Daniel Murphy into your stack. I don’t love Matt Wieters in this spot, but he’ll still work out for you if you need a catcher on DraftKings. Anthony Rendon looks good, but he doesn’t have the same value as the lefties I listed above. He’s the first person I’d put in to the stack if I didn’t want to use all three outfielders. I won’t have much Ryan Zimmerman on DraftKings, but his price on FanDuel is much more viable.

Twins (#7 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)

  • Miguel Sano
  • Eddie Rosario
  • Jorge Polanco
  • Max Kepler

The Minnesota Jakes are back again! Don’t let the rank for DraftKings fool you. I still have a ton of the Twins on DK. The prices on FanDuel are the driving force in that number two ranking. That, and Jacob Turner.

There’s a pretty clear line drawn in-between Max Kepler and Logan Forsythe. I really like the top of the projected lineup (everyone above plus Joe Mauer). The dual eligibility helps Forsythe on DraftKings, but I won’t have too much of him because of his price. Same scenario for Jake Cave, Mitch Garver and Tyler Austin. Cave & Garver are cheap enough to be used on FanDuel, but I would only do that if the Twins end up being extreme chalk.
