The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.
Twins (#1 DraftKings)
- Logan Forsythe
- Miguel Sano
- Jorge Polanco
- Tyler Austin
I really wish this game was included on the FanDuel slate. It’s obviously a popular game. A 12-run game total will generally do that. You’ll want to make sure you get different in other parts of your lines if you go with a full Twins stack. Tyler Austin has relatively low projected ownership, so he’s a key piece for me. Forsythe is probably the best value of the entire slate. Mitch Garver has the best combination of upside and price. Robbie Grossman is an interesting option. He’s significantly better against lefties, so he’ll make some sense if you want to be really different. With a 6.1 run implied total, it’s hard to make a mistake with this lineup.
Nationals (#4 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Bryce Harper
- Trea Turner
- Anthony Rendon
- Juan Soto
I love this game from a hitting perspective. While they didn’t make my top 3 stacks, I have a bunch of the Brewers, too. For now, I’m focusing on the Nats. They’re not crazy popular, which surprises me. The implied totals for both teams look solid. Adam Eaton can easily be used in a stack, but his price leaves something to be desired. I’m always happy to use Matt Wieters on DraftKings. There’s a solid amount of wind blowing out in DC, so I’m focusing heavily on bats.
Red Sox (#2 DraftKings / #4 FanDuel)
- Mookie Betts
- J.D. Martinez
- Eduardo Nunez
- Xander Bogaerts
The Red Sox have the third highest implied total of the main slate, with James Shields on the hill for the White Sox. It would be hard for me to love the Red Sox more. Boston has been smashing right handed pitching all season, and I’m expecting this trend to continue. Andrew Benintendi and Mitch Moreland are both heavily owned in my first batch of lines, but they just happened to be listed behind the guys at the top. No worries, I’ll have everyone here except for Jackie Bradley.
