The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.
Blue Jays (#2 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Randal Grichuk
- Kendrys Morales
- Teoscar Hernandez
- Lourdes Gurriel
The Blue Jays projected lineup is showing 9 guys batting from the right side, which might be difficult for David Price. Their price tags are even better so I’ll be all over Toronto. Russell Martin, as per usual, looks good on DraftKings. Grichuk and Morales are the two elite options, regardless of site. I’m a bit lower on Justin Smoak, mostly due to his price, so I think he’ll be a good pay-up option if the Jays are chalky.
Pirates (#1 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)
- Austin Meadows
- Starling Marte
- David Freese
- Francisco Cervelli
I’m slowly becoming a Pirates fan, and I have no idea. They just seem to fit in my lineup builds perfectly. I’m not too worried about the L/L matchup for Austin Meadows if he’s batting leadoff. Marte, Freeze and Cervelli all get the platoon advantage, so they’re the key for me. I’ll still have a vunch of Josh Bell, Josh Harrison and Jordy Mercer. Gregory Polanco is similar to Justin Smoak, so pay-up if you can to do be different.
Nationals (#3 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)
- Trea Turner
- Anthony Rendon
- Michael Taylor
- Bryce Harper
Man, I love Trea Turner and Anthony Rendon tonight. They’re probably my favorite two-man pairing of the entire slate. Michael Taylor grades out as one of the better bargains, due to his platoon advantage and low price. Oddly enough, I don’t get a ton of Mark Reynolds, largely due to that high price tag on DraftKings. I’ll be using a lot of Wilmer Difo, but his upside is relatively limited. He just works in the stack.
