Athletics (#1 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)
- Marcus Semien
- Chad Pinder
- Khris Davis
- Matt Chapman
I’m a little blown away by how much I like the A’s tonight. While their wRC+ against lefties hasn’t been the best, they do have a 40% hard contact rate. The top of the order [Semien, Pinder, Lowrie, Davis, Chapman] clearly looks like the best option, but I’ll have more than that. Stephen Piscotty is super cheap and gets the platoon advantage against LHP Matt Moore. You can do a lot worse than Jonathan Lucroy. Matt Olson is the only guy who doesn’t come up much for me (5% on both sites). Lefty-lefty spots are rough.
Yankees (#2 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)
- Greg Bird
- Giancarlo Stanton
- Gary Sanchez
- Aaron Judge
While my live stream partner Chris Spags will probably pimp CC Sabathia tonight, I’ll be focused on the Yankees bats. I don’t have a ton of love for Marco Estrada, and it appears that Vegas agrees with me, as the Yanks have the second highest implied total on the slate. Greg Bird and Giancarlo Stanton are my favorites, but I’ll have everyone to some degree. I’m generally pessimistic with regards to Aaron Judge, but I’ll own quite a bit of him. Brett Gardner is a great option in the leadoff spot. Didi Gregorius looks great on DraftKings, but his elevated price on FanDuel limits my exposure. Keep an eye on Gleyber Torres. If he’s hitting 9th, you should limit your exposure. If he’s hitting 5th or 6th, you can grab quite a bit more.
Red Sox (#3 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)
- Eduardo Nunez
- Mitch Moreland
- Rafael Devers
- J.D. Martinez
The best offense against right handed pitching taking on…Artie Lewicki. Yeah, I’m in. I like the guys listed above the most, but rest assured, guys like Benintendi and Bogaerts still look great. They just have bigger price tags. If Blake Swihart is catching, I’ll have him on DraftKings. It’s hard to go wrong with anyone in the Sox lineup when they have the third highest implied total.
