DraftKings and FanDuel Spotlight Hitters & Stacks

The following Spotlight Stacks & Hitters were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman.

Twins (#2 DraftKings / #1 FanDuel)

  • Brian Dozier
  • Miguel Sano
  • Eddie Rosario
  • Mitch Garver

The Twins have the second highest implied total of the main slate, so targeting them against Hector Santiago and the White Sox seems like a good bet. I’ll be running the entire lineup. The righties look the best because of the platoon advantage, so I’ll have large amounts of Brian Dozier, Miguel Sano, Eduardo Escobar, Robbie Grossman and Mitch Garver. I think Eddie Rosario and Max Kepler look interesting as potentially under-owned stack fillers, due to their LHH/LHP matchup.

Red Sox (#1 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel)

  • Xander Bogaerts
  • J.D. Martinez
  • Eduardo Nunez
  • Rafael Devers

As the only team with an implied total higher than the Twins, the Red Sox are currently my #1 stack on DraftKings. The only real difference between the two sites is the inclusion of Blake Swihart and Christian Vazquez on DK. Those guys have a bit less value on FanDuel. Otherwise, I’ll be pounding the top six guys in the lineup. People may sleep a bit on Andrew Benintendi (as much as someone can sleep on a guy with a $5500 price tag), but I think leading off can offset the platoon disadvantage.

Rockies (#2 DraftKings / #3 FanDuel) *UPDATED AT 5:35PM EST

  • Carlos Gonzalez
  • Nolan Arenado
  • Charlie Blackmon
  • DJ LeMahieu

Rockies have supplanted the Red Sox in my rankings today. I’m looking at 1-5 as a primary, with Gerardo Parra and Ian Desmond looking solid on FanDuel and Tony Wolters being functional on DK.

Athletics (#3 DraftKings / #2 FanDuel)

  • Marcus Semien
  • Matt Joyce
  • Khris Davis
  • Matt Olson

I think I’m slowly becoming an A’s fan and I’m OK with it. I love being able to stack teams against Bartolo Colon. The majority of my ownership is concentrated in the guys listed above, but I’ll have pieces of the entire team. Jonathan Lucroy is obviously more in play on DraftKings. Jed Lowrie looks pretty good, but his price on DK is a little tricky. Same story for Matt Chapman. Oakland is just crazy cheap on FanDuel, which makes them an excellent supplemental stack.
