Pitchers
Jacob deGrom ($13,500 DK/$11,8000 FD)
deGrom will get a Marlins team that he is more than familiar with, as he’s faced off against them 3 times in 2018, going 19 innings and striking out 20 in those starts. We should see more of the same here for deGrom, who looks to be in prime form despite his team seemingly unable to provide him with any sort of run support. The win points are important, but with complete-game, 10+K upside, deGrom is a fine spend up in GPPs.
German Marquez ($9,000 DK/$9,000 FD)
Marquez has arguably been one of the best pitchers in the MLB since the all star break, and has put his foot on the gas his last 3 starts, going at least 6 and 2/3rds with 9 strikeouts in each start. He has shown he can dominate in Coors, so against a bunch of righties (32% K-rate in 2018 vs. righties) for the Diamondbacks, Marquez is again underpriced. Many are still fading pitchers in Coors, but he has been elite as of late, and I’ll take the $1-2K discount in price plus the ownership discount we will get in GPPs with Marquez.
Zack Godley ($6,400 DK/$8,300 FD)
While playing both pitchers in Coors on a 10-game slate may seem crazy, Godley comes in to tonight’s slate as one of the best talents, but he’s the second-lowest priced pitcher on DraftKings which should never be the case. He has already had a great start in Coors this year where his stuff translated well, as he was able to post a 19.4% Swinging-Strike rate on his way to 8 strikeouts on June 10. The Rockies will field up to 7 righties tonight including the pitcher slot which gives him a ton of upside if he has his best stuff. At the very least, for this price, he’s a solid GPP SP2.
Stacks
Brewers (vs. Jon Lester)
Lester may be a name that people recognize, but he’s nothing special against righties, which is what the Brewers are full of. One of the luckiest pitchers in 2018, Lester has allowed a 26% Line Drive rate and 4.60 xFIP against righties with under 15% soft-contact. Some lefty-mashers like Braun, Aguilar, Cain, and Schoop have great chances to make quality contact against the veteran, and even though he’s been better at holding runners, there is some stolen base upside for Yelich and Cain here as well.
White Sox (vs. Jake Junis)
The White Sox certainly have issues making contact at times, but Junis is a very hittable pitcher, and if they’re able to get to him, they’ll have a great chance to pour it on against one of the worst bullpens. Junis has issues with lefty power as evidenced by his 41% hard-hit rate vs. LHH and has allowed 27 home runs in total. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Junis get steam as a popular GPP play tonight either, so Moncada, Palka, Delmonico, and Garcia make for solid leverage bats in tournaments.
One-Offs

Freddie Freeman (vs. Dereck Rodriguez)
