The following Spotlight Stacks were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman. Please check back later for notes/additional picks from Awesemo himself.
BAL (vs. DET)
The Orioles are my favorite stack of the day. Pedro Alvarez and Chris Davis are major power bats with a tasty match-up. Manny Machado is Manny Machado. Trey Mancini is popping up a ton as the lead-off hitter of the team with the third highest implied total. Adam Jones and Danny Valencia are solid options as well. Barring any weird line-up changes, the Orioles will be all over my lines.
CLE (vs. SEA)
I talk about the top of the Indians line-up a lot because their top three hitters (Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis, Jose Ramirez) play non-outfield/first base positions. By stacking those guys, it allows you stack another team with their more powerful outfield/first baseman bats. The Indians are neck and neck with the Red Sox for the highest implied total. Apparently Vegas isn’t impressed with Erasmo Ramirez’s pitching ability. I wouldn’t just stop with the top three, though. Michael Brantley, Edwin Encarnacion and Yonder Alonso would all be nice pieces to add to the other guys.
PHI (vs. ATL)
It pains me to stack the Phillies against my Braves, but they’re in a really nice spot. I’d be looking at a 1-5 stack with Cesar Hernandez, Carlos Santana, Odubel Herrera, Rhys Hoskins and Spotlight Hitter Nick Williams.
