The following Spotlight Stacks were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman. Please check back later for notes/additional picks from Awesemo himself.
CHC (vs. STL)
Ian Happ made the list of Spotlight Hitters, but he’s not the only Cubbie in play tonight. Ben Zobrist has an amazing price on both sites, plus dual eligibility on DraftKings. Willson Contreras and Kyle Schwarber would fit nicely with those guys. Oh, there’s also that Kris Bryant guy. Last I checked, he’s pretty good.
Editor’s note: Today’s Cubs game has been postponed.
TOR (@ KC)
Of course the team with the highest implied total will make an appearance on the Spotlight Stacks. It starts with Steve Pearce, but this lineup is loaded tonight. There are so many right handed bats lined up against Eric Skoglund that it almost seems unfair. I’d be fine with anyone in the top 6 of the projected order (Teoscar Hernandez, Justin Smoak, Yangervis Solarte, Russell Martin, Kevin Pillar). You can even grab Randal Grichuk on FanDuel, with a price of just $2100. The Jays will probably be the most owned stack, but it’s hard to avoid with this match-up.
Editor’s note: Today’s Blue Jays game has been postponed. Another great option of the remaining teams is stacking the A’s vs. Reynaldo Lopez.
PHI (@ ATL)
I didn’t expect this one to show up as much as it did, but here we are. The Phillies stack, particular the top four of Cesar Hernandez, Carlos Santana, Odubel Herrera and Rhys Hoskins, are showing up as one of my most popular stacks, regardless of site. If you want to use Nick Williams as part of a five man stack on DraftKings, I can’t put up too much of an argument. The implied total of this game is a bit muted, but it looks like the slight discount is price is pushing these guys to the top. As a Braves fan, I hope this fails. As a DFS player, I throw my allegiances out the window. There’s nothing wrong with a Phillies stack.
Awesemo’s Notes
I think Toronto is going to be by far the most popular option tonight with their run total almost a run above the next highest team’s, and I also will have plenty of the Phillies tonight. With the Cubs game postponed, one contrarian option I like is switching to the White Sox vs. Daniel Mengden. They are about an average team in overall projection on today’s slate, but their low prices will help you build a great roster around them.
