MLB picks: Our FanDuel MLB DFS Cheatsheets column highlights value plays in each price range for fantasy baseball lineups for July 21

The following Spotlight Stacks were selected by Awesemo.com’s Director of Content Josh Engleman. Please check back later for notes/additional picks from Awesemo himself.

MIL (vs. CIN)

Number one with a bullet. The Brewers are coming up as my top stack on both sites. You’ll need to keep an eye on their line-up news just in case Thames/Braun aren’t playing. You can make a case for anyone from 1-7. Thames made the Spotlight Hitters list for FanDuel, but I could have listed 3 Brewers and been comfortable. Lorenzo Cain looks great at the top of the order. Travis Shaw hitting cleanup with the top implied run total is exactly what I’m looking for. Domingo Santana follows up right behind Shaw. Even Jonathan Villar and Orlando Arcia are in good spots with low price points. Barring crazy news, the Brewers will dominate my lineups.

CLE (@ MIN)

This stack looks amazing, mostly due to their construction. My top three plays from Cleveland are Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis and Jose Ramirez. Grabbing three top guys at SS/2B/3B respectively is a great way to start a stack. This allows for the best hitting options at the 1B/OF spots. I’m not wild about Michael Brantley’s price, but he can come along for the ride with the top of the order. Yonder Alonso is a nice lefty/righty play if he stays slotted in the 6 spot. You can even use Edwin Encarnacion (particularly on FanDuel) where he has a tiny price tag for someone with his power.

LAD (@ SD)

The Dodgers aren’t a team I would want to pitch against if I had trouble missing bats. Sorry Bryan Mitchell. The Dodgers bats are primed to take advantage of this match-up. It all starts with Corey Seager, but Chris Taylor, Matt Kemp and Yasmani Grandal all have excellent combinations of price and order slot. I haven’t even mentioned Cody Bellinger, who’s price on FanDuel is a tad high. He’s perfectly fine in a stack, and he actually looks great on his own on DraftKings. A Dodgers stack should give you something nice to wake up to Wednesday morning.

Awesemo’s Notes
Stacking the highest projected team is never a bad idea, so I’m with Josh on Milwaukee being a chalk stack. I don’t have Cleveland as a top stack because the low total for the game and only 4.5 for the Indians (well below their 2017 average of 5) makes me think that the stadium in Puerto Rico must be more of a pitcher’s park. An alternative I like is Arizona with the same total but cheaper prices, which will be useful paying up for an ace pitcher tonight. I like the Dodgers, and agree that they should fare very well tonight against a pitcher with a low strikeout rate.
