COL (vs. LAA)
I’d be hard pressed to not mention the Rockies today, as they’ll likely be the chalkiest stack of the night. Andrew Heaney is a solid starter for the Angels, but there’s just too many right handed bats and too high of an implied total to ignore. I love Trevor Story, but I’ll have a good amount of DJ LeMahieu, Nolan Arenado and Ian Desmond. I normally don’t love Charlie Blackmon against lefties, but as part of a stack, I’m game.
TEX (vs. DET)
The Rangers are my favorite non-Coors stack. Mike Fiers is…not the best in the world. The 2-3-4-5 stack (Choo, Profar, Mazara, Gallo) looks incredibly powerful. I’ll happily use DeShields or Guzman as well, considering the Rangers have the second highest implied total on the slate.
CHC (vs. MIA)
I used the Cubs last night, and it worked out well. I’m going back to the well again tonight. Jose Urena doesn’t miss enough bats to scare me, and I think the prices (particularly on FanDuel) are too low to pass up. My focus is on 1-5 (Zobrist, Bryant, Rizzo, Contreras, Schwarber). If you need a shortstop, you can slot Addison Russell into the stack.
Awesemo’s Notes
I agree with Josh’s analysis that the Rockies will be the best stack and the chalkiest of the night. Heaney has been pretty good so far this year, and the Rockies team total isn’t that high for Coors, but they are way too cheap tonight on DK. I think the Cubs are a playable option tonight but they aren’t popping a ton in my lineups in my initial crunches. The Rangers are in a similar spot to the Rockies; they are in a good spot and people know it. I think both teams are good plays but I will be likely to try to pivot to a lesser owned team that I think has potential in my higher stakes tournaments.
