Jock MKT MLB DFS Picks Tonight
Eduardo Escobar — 3B — Milwaukee Brewers
According to Awesemo’s expert projections, Escobar is the top-ranked hitter on tonight’s slate. He is slashing .324/.410/.647 for the Brewers in the month of September, with three home runs and eight RBIs. In fact, all eight of those RBIs have come over the last five games.
Milwaukee has the third-highest implied run total (5.4) on the slate, squaring off against right-hander Wily Peralta and the Tigers. Peralta has been getting away with his 1.60 WHIP since the beginning of August, not allowing too many earned runs in a lot of those starts. The Brewers will make him pay tonight since they have scored double-digit runs in three of their last five games. The optimistic outlook gets even better, with 13 mph winds expected to be blowing out of Comerica Park this evening.
Aaron Judge — OF — New York Yankees
New York has the highest implied run total (+0.6) and even received a +0.6 boost to it from the open, which is the biggest increase for any team. With numbers like that, it is reasonable to think Judge will have plenty of RBI opportunities for extra movement upward in the market. Tonight’s matchup for Judge is a good one against Orioles left-hander Alexander Wells and the worst bullpen in baseball. Wells has a 7.15 ERA and 1.90 WHIP in only 22.2 innings of work this season. Judge has been slightly better against lefties, but where he really excels is on the road. Slashing .256/.349/.454 at Yankee Stadium, Judge has countered with .328/.406/.623 away from New York. Baltimore’s bullpen has the worst ERA (5.79), so everything is looking up here in the markets for Judge.
Jonathan India — 2B — Cincinnati Reds
India keeps on hitting for the Reds, with .302/.362/.605 slash numbers in the month of September. However, tonight’s particular matchup against a left-hander is really what will make his stock soar. India is hitting .317 against lefties compared to .257 against right-handed pitching. Cincinnati still has something to play for in the MLB season, sitting 0.5 games ahead of the Padres and Cardinals for the second Wild Card spot. Pirates lefty Dillon Peters is starting to come back to Earth a little bit in recent starts, as teams are getting more footage on him. Across his last two starts more hitters have found their way on their base against Peters. India has three multi-hit games and two home runs over his last five. While the Reds have not been great against lefties, India is the lone exception.
