The Jock MKT Starter Kit: MLB Picks | July 8
How to Play
To begin, enter the MLB Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular MLB DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final pitch of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT MLB Picks Tonight
Marcus Semien, 2B, Toronto Blue Jays
Marcus Semien scored two runs yesterday after reaching base once via a hit and a second time via a walk. The hit snapped a three-game hitless streak that succeeded a torrid stretch for Semien. Even with those three games, Semien still has 14 total hits over his last 10 games. The Awesemo MLB DFS projections are very bullish on several Toronto players tonight going up against the suspect pitching of the Orioles. Semien is projected for a top-three finish among all batters on Thursday’s slate. If he comes through, owners will profit at least $18.00 on Jock MKT. That said, be mindful that there is heavy rain in the forecast for this game.
Christian Yelich, OF, Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers have been one of the hottest teams in baseball over the past week or so. That said, Christian Yelich has not exactly been on a hitting tear. He picked up one hit in the second game of yesterday’s doubleheader to snap a three-game hitless streak. It should be noted that Yelich did not start in one of those contests. While his numbers are not quite as sound as his MVP season, there is still reason to be optimistic about Yelich in Jock MKT MLB contests tonight. In nine career plate appearances against Reds starter Tyler Mahle, Yelich has a pair of hits and two walks. The Awesemo MLB DFS projections have him among the top 10 batters on tonight’s board. Such a finish would pay out $10.50 on Jock MKT.
Alcides Escobar, 2B/SS, Washington Nationals
When it comes to under-the-radar value options for Thursday’s Jock MKT MLB picks, Alcides Escobar could turn out to be a diamond in the rough. He has only played in five games this season. That said, he is off to a great start with eight total hits in 21 at-bats. Furthermore, Escobar’s history against Padres starter Yu Darvish is solid. In 11 prior at-bats he has accumulated four hits, good for a .364 average. Escobar’s name is not near the top of the Awesemo MLB DFS projections for expected points. However, when one sorts the projections to reflect expected value, he is a top-12 option.
