How to Play
To begin, enter the MLB Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular MLB DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final pitch of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT MLB Picks Tonight
Mookie Betts, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers
This is probably the most obvious spot on the board. Betts’ upside at the plate and on the base paths makes him one of the most bankable options on most nights, and that potential only expands with him playing in Coors Field tonight. Rockies starter Anthony Senzatela has been decent his last few games and has actually pitched far better at home, but he has also surrendered home runs in each of his last two Coors starts. Betts has mashed pitching regardless of their handedness, particularly of late, as he has three homers, seven RBIs and a .810 slugging over his last five games. Awesemo and Jock projections both place Betts at the very top of the board tonight, which has him in line for a big payout.
Kris Bryant, 3B, Chicago Cubs
There are not many better matchups for a right-handed power bat than Madison Bumgarner. Though Bumgarner does an OK job at keeping righties off the basepaths (.318 on-base percentage allowed), they have gotten to him for a .475 slugging percentage and a whopping eight home runs in only 12 starts. This will also the first start Bumgarner has made since June 2. Bryant is as poised as anyone to take advantage, as he has some of the most dramatic splits of any star-caliber hitter in baseball this year, posting a 1.148 OPs against lefties as compared to .763 against righties. Awesemo has Bryant as one of the top-projected studs on tonight’s slate, and his expected fantasy point output trails only Justin Tuner among all third basemen.
David Fletcher, 2B, Los Angeles Angels
Fletcher’s lack of power numbers (.718 OPS, 95 OPS+) do him no favors as an MLB DFS asset, but his production at the plate has still been solid all year long. He is hitting comfortably over .300 this season and has driven in 32 runs despite the low extra-base upside. Plus, Fletcher has been raking as of late, with an OPS of 1.101 and five extra-base hits (including both of his home runs) over his last 10 games. And though a matchup against Seattle’s Chris Flexen is not necessarily in Fletcher’s favor — Fletcher’s platoon splits are extreme in favoring left-handed pitching — Flexen actually has reverse splits in 2021, allowing a slightly higher OPS and a lot more walks to righties. Awesemo’s MLB DFS projections expect Fletcher to be the No. 2-scoring second baseman in his price range tonight and have him as a top-10 value at the position.
