The Jock MKT Starter Kit: MLB Picks | July 29

How to Play

To begin, enter the MLB Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.

The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular MLB DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final pitch of the night’s final game.

At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT MLB Picks Tonight

Cedric Mullins, OF, Baltimore Orioles

Mullins has one of the highest grades today, according to Awesemo’s expert projections. This is a nice matchup against Casey Mize of the Detroit Tigers on the road, so his team is guaranteed that last at-bat in the ninth inning. More importantly, Mullins has hit safely in each of the last seven games and even has a multi-hit game in four of his last six. If you’re looking to move up the leaderboards with value here, Mullins is just the guy to start it up with tonight.

Xander Bogaerts, SS, Boston Red Sox

Earlier today, I wrote about Blue Jays’ pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu and how he has struggled to get strikeouts over the last two months. Bogaerts hasn’t quite broken out of his shell yet since the All-Star break, but this is a nice spot here against the lefty at home in Fenway Park with the advantageous left field to hit in. Bogaerts is hitting a crisp .325 against lefties this season, and he’s 3-for-8 against Ryu lifetime with a double and home run.

Fernando Tatis Jr., SS, San Diego Padres

I also wrote about this Padres vs. Rockies game in today’s betting article, where I laid out to path to undeniable success for the home team. Tatis Jr. will likely be leading the charge against Rockies’ southpaw Kyle Freeland, who has been assaulted by Padres’ bats in his lifetime. In fact, Tatis Jr. has been the most unpleasant to Freeland, going 5-for-16 with two doubles and a home run.
