We have wall-to-wall baseball today, so keep and eye out on how your site is going to handle these six o’clock hour games going forward as the Yankees, Tigers, Red, Mariners and Cleveland have adopted the strategy that their home Monday through Thursday evening games will be starting 20-50 minutes before “normal” through the end of May (aka the school year) to be more family friendly and or getting a little better weather before the sun goes down.
For the second day FanDuel is including these games as part of their “main” slate, though knowing how consistently inconsistent the DFS sites are that could change at any time.

EARLY SLATE
St Louis Cardinals at RHP Corbin Burnes – 4.4 implied runs
In a “fun with numbers twist” RHP Corbin Burnes has allowed a trio of taters in each of his three starts this season though he also has 21 strikeouts across those 14.1 innings so this feels more like “noise” than something really amiss. That said, this may be messing with his psyche a little bit as the talented youngster gets used to life as a key cog in the Brewers rotation after his 38.0 innings of work last year were all out of the bullpen. He does project as a solid started with #2 upside and that was where his focus was in the minors where he had excellent command and allowed very little power to opposing batsmen.
Burnes has been outstanding against same-handed hitters in his 222 big leaguers faced, but today I am still satisfied rolling with the top half of the Redbirds lineup on the afternoon slate.
MAIN SLATE
Washington Nationals vs RHP Jeff Samardzija – 4.6 implied runs
It will be no surprise for you to learn that RHP Jeff Samardzija has benefited mightily from pitching in AT&T Oracle Park the last three seasons with a 4.00 ERA and 16 homeruns allowed across 209.0 innings as compared to his 4.60 ERA with 44 homeruns over 246.2 innings on the road.
Reaching back to the beginning of last season when he was dealing with a shoulder issue that kept him out of action after the All-Star Break and capped his season at 44.2 innings, the 12-year veteran has been downright awful with a 6.00 xFIP, a 11.7 BB% and a woeful 15.8 K% over his last 283 batters faced.
Load up on the Nationals tonight with a particular focus on Anthony Rendon, Juan Soto and Matt Adams in the heart of the order.
