Main Slate

Boston Red Sox vs. RHP Logan Webb – 6.2 implied runs

Even in his pitching friendly home park, RHP Logan Webb is mediocre at best.  Heading into Fenway against the BoSox is no easy task even for aces.  While the Red Sox are long shots to even make things interesting over the last two weeks at nine back in the Wild Card race, they have not yet given up.  Mookie Betts (foot) missed both games this weekend and even with Monday off may not play.  That just opens more opportunities for someone else who will be at a cheaper price point.

The 22-year old rookie is in his fifth season, but he has just one start at the AAA level.  This is a trial by fire so do not be shy about loading up on Boston batters up and down their order.

Coors Field Extravaganza – 12.0 implied runs

Colorado – 5.0 implied runs

The Rockies will be facing RHP Marcus Stroman who has an elite 57.6 GB% across his last 1,150 batters faced with a 1.27 WHIP.  This means he does not allow a lot of baserunners and he can work out of jams with the double play.  This is still a game in Coors Field and there is always a risk of timely hits and #Baseball happening.  We should target the core four in Charlie Blackmon, Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story and Daniel Murphy if we want a piece of the home team.

New York – 7.0 implied runs

On the other side, the Mets will be squaring off against RHP Tim MelvilleHe has a phenomenal slider, but a mediocre fastball at best.  The Cardinals got to him for four home runs in his last start, so perhaps the “book” is out on him.  Last year he pitched in AAA-Norfolk for the Orioles and was released after 104.2 innings with a 5.33 ERA and 7.1 K/9.  Keep in mind they were the sixth organization to take a chance on him (KCR, DET, CIN, MIN, SDP) which makes Colorado lucky number seven for the 29-year old with 22.2 of his 37.1 MLB innings coming this season.

Tail Awesemo's Sports Betting Picks Today!

Target the New York hitters with power from either side of the plate.  The preferred tier will be Michael Conforto, Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and Brandon NimmoThe next group would be Wilson Ramos, Robinson Cano and J.D. Davis.

Late Slate

Oakland Athletics vs. RHP Jorge Lopez – 6.2 implied runs

Back to the A’s once again without any apologies.  RHP Jorge Lopez is better than Monday’s hurler RHP Glenn Sparkman, but just against righties.  We can target him with lefties as he has allowed a .366 wOBA, .214 ISO and a 9.2 BB% over his last 379 matchups.  He is adequate against same-handed hitters with a .320 wOBA and .162 ISO, but still allows too many baserunners.

Matt Olson, Seth Brown and Jurickson Profar will be swinging the stick from the left-side of the plate.  From there we can sprinkle in Marcus Semien and Ramon Laureano for differentiation.  With Mark Canha, Matt Chapman and Khris Davis coming into play on the late slate.  This is one of the teams we can use to pivot away from Coors Field on the main slate.
