Main Slate
Atlanta Braves vs. RHP Logan Webb – 5.7 implied runs
Even in his small sample size this season RHP Logan Webb has displayed hefty home/road splits. This is right in line with the rest of the Giants hurlers. Keep in mind that the 22-year old rookie is in his fifth season, though prior to his promotion he had just one start at AAA. Atlanta has a nice mix of lefties and righties and the return of Nick Markakis has really helped their lineup. This team can still improve their playoff seeding so they should be trying down the stretch.
Freddie Freeman, Josh Donaldson, Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies are the core four. Then for differentiation focus on Nick Markakis, Matt Joyce, Adam Duvall, Dansby Swanson and whomever is behind the dish.
Afternoon Slate
Minnesota Twins vs. RHP Jorge Lopez – 6.4 implied runs
This has been a decent season for RHP Jorge Lopez. Most teams would be thrilled to have him as a back-end starter. After working out of the bullpen for the early part of the season, he has made a solid transition to the rotation. He does a little bit of everything and the biggest knock against him is this matchup.
The first priority should be the lefties with Eddie Rosario, Jake Cave, Marwin Gonzalez and Jason Castro as the best values and least popular. Nelson Cruz, Jorge Polanco and Luis Arraez are fine though they will not be overlooked by The Masses with this implied run total.
Late Slate
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. RHP Antonio Senzatela – 6.1 implied runs
Once again the Dodgers get another Rockies pitcher who is having an awful season. Boy do they really miss RHPs Jon Gray and German Marquez. Senzatela has a solid 52.0 GB% over the last season plus the high 8.9 BB% and low 14.5 K% are not doing him any favors.
Much like the whole series we can look to Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson and Max Muncy for our trio to target. A.J. Pollock and Corey Seager are definitely in the mix as well. Will Smith is a solid option where we need to roster catchers. Justin Turner may be back from injury and Gavin Lux or whomever else makes the lineup in the infield is a differentiation option.
